Key Job Accountabilities:

Expert responsible for providing a strategic, forward-looking and international vision in his/her category so as to identify major opportunities on a two- to five-year timeframe (business opportunities and new territories) and accompanying major innovative projects through to prototype stage.

• Carry out a strategic analysis of his/her category, focusing on the trends (demographic, sociocultural and consumer), consumer expectations, market analyses and competitive intelligence so as to define a vision of the priority avenues for innovation.

• Affirm a L’Oréal vision by category, taking account of the positioning of rivals.

• Help the research effort by prioritising its project portfolio. Jointly define the road map for applied research. Evaluate the potential of breakthrough concepts or technologies likely to provide markers (vision) concerning the potential of the markets to be created.

• Break down the avenues of innovation into conceptual ideas and then into technical challenges and take priority projects through to prototype stage. This must be done according to a structured process involving consumer studies at all the key stages.

• Coordinate project groups on topics requiring the mobilisation of cross-cutting teams (packaging, advanced research, industrial process, development, etc.)

• Promote a genuine consumer culture in the Research department

• Share and compare a category-based vision with operational teams (Divisions, brands and Regions)

 



Qualification:


- Very good marketer, DMI (International Marketing Development) experience


- Creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, intuition, passion for new trends and innovations


- Makeup expertise


 


Location:


Japan is the most preferred option but we might consider Korea or China if necessary.
