Shu Uemura is seeking an international communications project manager to build its digital transformation platform, with a concentration on building new communication strategy and approach. The role will be based I Tokyo and report to the International Communication Director.
This role requires She/him to implement the communication strategy defined by the International Communication Director to build the brand image, develop awareness and reinforce its reputation over tie. She/him will lead the countries to build, activate and engage the communication cross various communication platforms. And finally she/he will monitor campaign performance, gain and share insights.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
・Contribute to build and implement a 360°external communication strategy in line with the business strategy and the group communication strategy.
・Implement integrated communication campaigns on major product launches and events. Regularly analyzing and reporting on media coverage.
・Develop, implement and manage international communication projects/operations:
* You will approve media releases and other press materials. You will write or approve digital content for social media outlets.
* You will be the first point of contract for media inquiries.
*You will directly handle the PR response to ‘crisis’ situations.
*You may organize promotional events such as global events, workshop, sponsoring, and etc.
・Coordinate all public relations activities. Provide coordination for communication operations with all or some of the brand’s subsidiaries.
・Cultivate relationship with influential print, digital and broadcast journalists or thought leaders within communication sector.
・Develop international communication tools, online & offline, for brand’s subsidiaries and ensure of their implementation.
・Study and evaluate media consequences in countries.
・Contribute to the organization of specific communication meetings with zone/countries, steering committees with key zones/countries.
・Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis.
・Constantly be aware of digital and social media trends to react and inject into our own accounts when relevant
・Share and introduce new/inspirational ideas from outside
・Educate all DMI members on latest digital communication trends and assets
・Follow-up closely on budget and financial procedures
・Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or equivalent e-Commerce experience.
・Experience working in FMCG marketing or communication. Experience in beauty industry is a plus.
・Good understanding of digital ecosystem.
・Good understanding of China-specific or Southeast Asia social landscape (i.e. Weibo, WeChat, Red, Douying, FB, INS, Youtube, twitter, Line, Kaoko).
・Good understanding of best practices of marketplaces storefronts and ecommerce (i.e. TMall, Lazada, shopping festivals...) is a plus
・Strong verbal and written communication skills.
・Able to manage complexity within a complex International environment.
・Inter-personal skills are vital for developing relationship with media representatives, handling difficult situations advising people within your organization.
・You will need speaking and presentation skills.
