Junior Supply Chain Associate– US Planning (12 months)

Job Responsibilities:

The Junior Planning Associate will partner with various operations and business teams on key strategic projects for the US Planning team as well as have firsthand exposure to the Demand Planning role.  This is a great opportunity for someone to work on projects that will have a direct and lasting impact on the daily operations of the US Planning team and who may be considering a long-term career in Demand Planning. 

Scope of projects will involve working cross-functionally with both the Business teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance) and Supply Chain Teams (Global Brand Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Assembly, Customer Supply Chain).  In this role you will learn about how Demand Planning fits into the broader picture of L’Oreal and you will be working directly with the systems we use on a Day-to-Day basis. 

Potential project topics include Excess and Obsolete – driving and automating improvements in the end-to-end process to help reduce financial liabilities and meet our very important ‘L’Oreal for the Future’ commitments.  Another potential project is helping support our CPD US Planning LBO (Lead Business Owner) through our new system implementation, which will set new standards for how we work as a Demand Planning team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

  • Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a Master’s degree within the last 12 months. Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant discipline preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years of supply chain experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret data 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Excel (Power BI a plus)

  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues  
  • Strong communication skills, communicate effectively and work well in team structures 
  • Exhibits a strong drive for results and success; conveys a sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks: produce quality materials within tight timeframes while prioritizing to meet deadlines 
  • Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail 

Salary Range: $24-$32 per hour (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location and education)
