A Day in the Life

As a Finance Controller at L’Oréal Consumer Product Division in Prague, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance. 

Reporting directly to the Finance Commercial Manager, you will own the full P&L of given channel, ensuring accurate financial management and performance tracking. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to business growth through insightful analysis, process optimization, and strategic decision support.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control the full P&L of a business channel, ensuring financial accuracy and visibility to drive commercial decision-making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, aligning financial plans with commercial strategies and growth objectives.
  • Act as a strategic finance business partner to the Channel Director and commercial teams, providing financial insights that shape pricing, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Enhance business performance by monitoring key drivers, identifying risks and opportunities, and proposing corrective actions.
  • Deliver monthly performance reviews and variance analysis to management, translating financial results into clear commercial implications.
  • Evaluate the financial impact and ROI of commercial initiatives (e.g., trade investments, product launches, promotional activities).
  • Ensure compliance and financial discipline while enabling agility in commercial execution.
  • Challenge the status quo, driving efficiencies, improving financial analysis, and embedding a performance mindset across the business.

   

We Are Looking For

  • Experience 5+ years in Controlling/Commercial finance with strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Good understanding of P&L management (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, trade spend) & expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Preferred experience with SAP & solid command of Microsoft office package.
  • Prior experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods or other commercial finance roles preferred.
  • Good communication and presentation skills to translate financials into business language & influencing and stakeholder management at different levels of the organization.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Fluent in English
