Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Project Management: This is a lead role, so guiding and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians is a core component. This includes project planning, resource allocation, task delegation, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Product and Packaging Development: Depending on the specific area, the Lead Development Engineer could be involved in designing and developing new product for packaging solutions, or manufacturing processes for new or existing products.
Process Optimization and Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve product quality, or lower costs is likely a key responsibility. This might include implementing new technologies or automation strategies.
Equipment Specification and Validation: A Lead Development Engineer might be responsible for specifying, selecting, and validating new equipment for packaging lines. This includes ensuring the equipment meets required performance standards and regulatory requirements.
