About the VIE/International Assignment program:

Join our Supply Chain team in the capacity of a DATA ENGINEER - Fulfillment Center Assortment Optimizer

The Supply Chain team at L’Oréal USA is embarking on an ambitious reinvention of its fulfillment network and processes. The new strategy includes implementation of fulfillment nodes dedicated to mid-size and complex orders from salons and stylists, called Fulfillment Centers. These Fulfillment Centers will carry a targeted and curated assortment within a large range of 10k+ skus.

Optimizing the assortment of our Fulfillment Centers, depending on specificities of the market they serve, customer shopping preferences online & offline, product velocity and promotional activity is absolutely critical in delivering highest standard of order fulfillment, reduced need of split delivery, inventory and cost optimization and reduction of carbon footprint.

Saloncentric providing comprehensive Omnichannel experience to almost 1M stylists throughout the United States, we have been building an important DataHub (called DDX) and do have direct access to more than 10M transactions as long as data related to online journey of our customers.

We want to make use of this data asset to build data-driven assortment strategies. In order to achieve this ambition, we need to enhance our data analytical capabilities applied to Supply Chain challenges.

EACH DAY AS PART OF THIS TEAM, YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

Saloncentric is offering an 18 to 24-month mission of Data Engineer – Fulfillment Center Assortment Optimizer within our Center of Expertise of Integrated Stock Planning. The position will report specifically to our Project Director - Forecast to Procure.

The role is expected to work in very close collaboration with Store Replenishment Director, Fulfillment Center Implementation Director and OMS Project Director.

It will be based at our Saloncentric National Operation Center located in St Petersburgh, FL.

HERE’S HOW YOU WILL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY IN IT:

  • Build appropriate Data Hub gathering all necessary records on both transactions and online journeys.
  • Understand OMS Use Cases and translate them into guidelines for Assortment Decision Trees
  • Validate Decision Trees with relevant stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Sales, IT)
  • Build Simulation Tools allowing to test and evaluate multiple scenario
  • Select Pilot Fulfillment Center and monitor each step of the pilot.
  • Conduct regular reviews of learnings and conclusions with Management
  • Propose roll-out plan and processes
  • Train users for Run phase
  • Deliver Proven Results in terms of Fulfillment Rate, Cost to Serve and Unproductive Inventory.

THE SKILLS THAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

HARD SKILLS:

  • Master Degree in Engineering or Information Systems
  • Major in Mathematics, Data Science, IA a plus
  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Sales&Operations Planning a plus.
  • Advanced programming skilled with Python, Power BI and equivalent Data Analytics coding

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Previous Success on Data Analytics Projects, and ideally with Digital Twins
  • Passionate with Supply Chain and Digital Transformation
  • Collaborative and effective at building consensus across organization
  • Highly organized
