Context and purpose of role


  • Retail is a quite recent but strategic distribution channel at L’Oréal, transversal to divisions and zones
  • Retail covers various realities, from flagship boutiques to smallest counters
  • Global BRM ensure relationship with the business
  • Global IT application team develops and maintains an IT Retail application core system (Mars, based on Cegid retail)
  • Global IT infrastructure team, the “factory”, develop, maintain and operate global infrastructure lines of service
  • IT Retail execution accountability is at zone/country level, with different approaches depending on zones and brands

 


The infrastructure for retail architect plays a key role of interface between the BRM, the global application team, the global infrastructure “factory” and zones/countries IT retail infrastructure teams. He coordinates all activities related to plan, design, build, roll-out, migrate global infrastructure technology and services for retail, ensuring overall global consistency.

 


 Key job accountabilities


  • Capture infrastructure for retail demand and execute relevant demand management process
  • Coordinate global build teams contribution, from design to roll-out of infrastructure solutions, technology and services
  • Ensure global consistency of infrastructure for retail architecture
  • Contribute to Retail IT Handbook edition with accountability on infrastructure technology and services

 


 Experience


  • 3 to 5 years of infrastructure generalist architect experience (identity and endpoint management, networks, application hosting and performance monitoring)
  • With 2 years minimum of proven experience in the retail domain

 


 Expected skills


  • Key technology knowledge (HP tills, Meraki network services, Cegid retail solution)
  • Strong English level
  • Good understanding of retail business challenges
  • Ability to interact efficiently in a complex environment
