Education Manager - L'Oréal Designer Fragrances Location – Office & Field


(Fixed Term 12 Months)

What are key highlights of this role?

We are looking for an exceptional Fragrance Education Manager who will be responsible for delivering the Fragrance education and engagement strategy for the Luxe Division, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute an exceptional experience, and learning environment.

Reporting into the Head of Fragrance Education, they will pioneer new collaborative ways of working between the brands and other tribes and will be a key part of achieving the business units strategic goals.

Our L’Oréal Luxe Fragrance division is made up of: Giorgio Armani, Mugler, Prada, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, Diesel, Ralph Lauren, Cacharel, Azzaro, Maison Margiela

Passionate about and an expert in fragrance, you’ll be responsible for the education of this pillar to our Beauty Advisors across all retailers, as well as supporting the fragrance category across other Luxe Brand tribes.

You will have genuine excitement and love for our brands, luxury retail and exceptional customer experiences to ensure we are winning together!

The role will be within our hybrid model, including field based coaching, travel and overnight required for specific Education events throughout the year.

What are the key responsibilities?

Highlights of the role:

  • Have a passion for your people – as part of a growing portfolio, when not training, you will also spend time in store coaching and developing Fragrance Beauty Advisors with a focus on development of service and commercial skill sets.
  • Development and delivery of training modules/tools/materials to support and execute the fragrance training program.
  • Support the field team in the Fragrance education and coaching strategies to inspire the fragrance advisors in their stores and teams.
  • You will be the go to expert of your brand and category, co-creating and developing the Fragrance education strategy with the Head of Fragrance Education.
  • Collaborate with Brand Educators from other tribes to ensure Brand/Category integrity, driving consistency in all tribes.
  • Ensure training and engagement initiatives are delivered within budget and on time
  • Research and recommend new ways/improvements to delivering training and education and keep up to date with latest trends in education. We would love to see your initiative and ideas transpire in the role!
  • Manage and execute seasonal education programmes, through developing our Digital, online and social education strategy.
  • During your in store visits, you will observe the behaviours of our fragrance teams and deliver feedback to the Area Managers and Retail & Education Director.
  • Analyse the need for trainings to be adapted/changed or new modules created based on the needs of the business. Ability to champion simplicity through ways of working with brands and field teams.
  • You will build relationships with other functions such as Marketing, PR and Commercial
  • Be a One Luxe ambassador and advocate of change and agility
  • Support in engagement of retailers across the fragrance portfolio
  • Support in education to drive understanding and the collection of CRM and VIP data
  • Provide proactive feedback to internal departments to help drive collaboration between brands & tribes.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous sales and team management experience, ideally within beauty industry.
  • Previous training and education experience, ideally within the beauty industry.
  • Exceptional training and coaching skills to drive a buzz around Fragrance.
  • Experience and understanding of effective sales techniques, customer service and proven ability to drive results.
  • Strong analytical skills and capability on Microsoft Office (including Excel and Powerpoint) and Outlook.
  • You will have a can- do, positive attitude. Highly organized by nature and excellent attention to detail.
  • You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being solution focused.
