ACTIVE COSMETICS DIVISION
Head of Communications
The Active Cosmetics Division is the world leader in dermocosmetics, enjoying double digit growth in the UK and Ireland for several consecutive years as a result of increased awareness and customer advocacy. The division currently includes five brands: La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Skinceuticals, CeraVe and Roger & Gallet soon to be 6 as Decleor joins the Division in July. The brands are sold in healthcare outlets worldwide, including pharmacies, drugstores, medi-spas and physician’s offices. Our brands are developed and endorsed by health professionals, including dermatologists, pediatricians and cosmetic doctors.
The role of Head of Communications will be to lead a team of 5 across the brands and develop new and creative ways of developing our brands visibility and awareness. You will oversee the team on major launches, events and continual media relations, exploring new areas of influence and advocacy; working alongside external PR agencies per brand. You will support the division MD on all Communications related topics and anticipate crisis alongside the corporate communications team. The team also works on ACD owned social media platforms, creating compelling content, leveraging UGC and staying up to date with social trends.
Have a passion for communications, conversations and the power of relationships, influencers and social media. Be confident to present yourself and the brands to different levels of the business externally and internally from all key media, influencers to the wider ACD team and key L’Oreal stakeholders. Be creative with an attention to detail, striving to bring new ideas to the table. Be confident to work independently when needed, but also collaboratively with relevant internal teams; to ensure the teams work is aligned and integrated in the bigger picture, with regular updates provided. Ability to show evidence of working in a fast paced and demanding workplace. Be passionate about skincare and skin expertise in order to keep ahead of any skincare trends and opportunities to increase awareness and buzz. Understanding of social media management and analytics tools.
