L’Oréal UK & Ireland IT

In the BI team, you will need to show a passion for data and analytics and the technical skills to match, to quickly become a go-to advisor and partner for our business including managers and sponsors. And finally you will need to collaborate with our team and others: Digital, Infrastructure, etc., and mentor newcomers.
•Manage projects: be fully accountable for delivering local initiatives or roll-out of global programmes. This includes planning, evaluating / mitigating risks, handling resources, and reporting on project status.
•Handle communication with your key stakeholders, make sure they have the right information and skill to fulfil their part of the work.
•Support the users with their incidents and questions. Accompany them in changes to their habits.
•Assist the business in answering their questions through our tools, learn a lot about their jobs and produce visual reports with this knowledge and our data.
•Collaborate efficiently with several teams in and out of the UK with an eye on always improving processes and communication.
•Take your part in the light BI development and parameterisation work that flow from projects, enhancements and fixes. Follow a rigorous process to ensure a smooth delivery to production.
•Make sure our BI system is open on time every week day with accurate data.
•Handle your share of technical incidents. Find and fix the root cause of incidents in an effort to continuously improve our software.
•Alongside experience in a similar role, you should ideally be confident in demonstrating:
•Degree qualification, or equivalent in Computer Science
•Familiarity & Experience with Agile project methodology
•Familiarity with waterfall project methodology
•Strong skills in Microsoft BI (SQL server - SSAS - PowerBI)
•Familiarity with Informatica PowerCenter
•Customer centric approach
•Experience of change management and strong project management skills
•Excellent written and verbal communications
•Strong stakeholder management skills
•Ability to translate technical issues into business-language, at various levels
