This position will initially be based in the IT Cosmetics – Jersey City, NJ office, located at 111 Town Square Place, with the understanding that this office and your position will be relocating to our Hudson Yards – New York office in the future, timing to be confirmed

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities

Social Media & Content (60%) 

  • Assist in executing the essie global social strategy, tapping into consumer insights, brand equity and vision/mission.  
  • Drive & create social content strategy for global campaigns spanning hero launches, brand storytelling and product animations
  • Drive creation of best-in-class, hi-fi Brand social content with agency partners and ‘quick & dirty’ reactive trend content in-house on iPhone, Canva, Photoshop etc.  
  • Develop agency briefs and manage communications for global brand content and campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional partners and drive countries to ensure deliverables align with overarching strategy for the program
    • Execute fully loaded campaigns including ideation, global dossier release, launch, monitoring, and analysis 
  • Manage and execute always-on, white-label social content with agency partner for global Instagram channel
  • Be Immersed in culture and trends to help improve essie’ cultural relevancy through content
  • Develop standards, expertise, and best practices within Social to inform and scale across all marketing and channel platforms
  • Partner with team members to manage/create the global Instagram calendar and content, supporting key business objectives and messaging
  • Support invoicing and budget management for relevant work

 

Advocacy & Influencer (40%) 

  • Be Immersed in culture and trends to help improve essie’ cultural relevancy through content, among influencers and with the press.
  • Assist Director/AVP to manage the global advocacy program; foster and grow network of current influencers and brand advocates
  • Ideate around impactful influencer programming to support strategic launches and pillar priorities 
  • Forecasting & Ideation for Influencer/advoacy Mailers and related product inventory
  • Work closely with the essie marketing team (to ensure all brand communications and influencer marketing efforts are aligned and synergistic
  • Work in lock step with the LUSA Corporate and CMO Teams to optimize earned efforts across earned channels, including media and influencers, as well as all related outside vendors

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in social strategy and activation – preference for beauty and/or fashion – content creation experience a plus 
  • A pulse on trends, cultural/global conversations and the ever-changing social and influencer landscape
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of each social media platform from a brand marketing perspective, including platform updates, paid media formats, changing offerings, news, analytics, and reporting tools across desktop and mobile
  • A passion for data, analytics, insights and trends and ability to cull through and provide actionable insights to guide overall global social media strategy across all media types including video and live content
  • Keen eye for brand codes and tone of voice
  • Experience working cross-functionally and with agencies to develop campaigns and content that engage and create increased interest in the brand
  • Knowledge and understanding of social listening
  • Monitor trends via real-time reporting and identify ways the company can leverage current topics of interest, know ecosystem and demonstrate curiosity and customer centricity
  • A big thinker with highly skilled in storytelling and self-expression through color
  • Must have an excellent eye for design and photography
  • Must be organized but also nimble and flexible to adjust to real-time demand
  • Experience with social tools/influencer tools like Net Base, Rival IQ, Sprinklr and Traackr
  • Boldness to think outside of the box and bring break-thru, integrated ideas 
  • Prioritization & Organization Skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills (written and oral)

  • Salary Range: $98,200-$137,500 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.)
