Job Title: Manager/Sr. Manager – Business Planning

Definition of Role:

  • Supports Head of Sales in communication of the sales number to the corporation
  • Responsible for product and promotional prioritization to achieve financial objectives

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collects and aggregates Field forecast
  • Analyzes field number for risks and opportunities
  • Influence internal timelines and ensures operational adherence
  • Manages product availability
  • Work with Supply Chain/Logistics to meet customer deadlines and division financial objectives
  • Serve as Sales/Supply Chain liaison
  • Facilitate and lead field forecast process and monthly reconciliation
  • Manage Product Recalls with Field

 

Recommended Skillset:

  • Undergraduate degree in business field (MBA a plus)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience, preferably in CPG industry and sales functions
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer package goods, including prior experience in sales, business analytics, grid planning or marketing required
  • Strong ability to communicate (orally and in writing) complex information to many internal audiences with differing levels of knowledge
  • Experience in supply chain management or operations
  • Highly organized with excellent planning ability
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, Event Management – Launch workbench & Field Sales Management

  • Forecast accuracy
  • Monthly target achievement
  • Clear and concise communication of risks/opportunities

  • Product / PAD alerts to field
  • Product issues
  • Work with Assembly on kits/display priorities when items are constrained
  • Managing Cut risks with BSM/IM
  • Weekly Cut Report
  • Weekly Account Cuts
  • New Item Launch priorities / weekly calls with Ops
  • New Item pipe forecast
  • Forecast for Non-Corp Keep/Deletes, Exclusive and Pipe New/Existing
  • Final Feasibility approver
  • Manage Gap Closure Process/Reporting
  • SHOP approver
