JOB SUMMARY

Modern recruiters today are one-part talent scout, one-part relationship manager, one-part sales and marketing.  The best not only share stories across all channels about our company and our employees that appeal and engage the talent we need, but also develop strong talent pipelines and best-in-class experiences so our candidates can #humblebrag.  Our L'Oréal USA Talent Acquisition team is looking for an experienced professional to become the lead recruiter for campus recruitment and early career talent for engineering / science roles inclusive of Operations (e.g. Supply Chain / Manufacturing), Research and Innovation (lab research), and Information Technology (data science, digital products, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source, identify, interview and convert top diverse talents for internships and full-time opportunities in Operations, R&I, and IT.
  • Manage the recruitment lifecycle and candidate experience for university talent: (1) partner with Employer Branding manager to define our message and understanding our audiences / target populations; (2) communicate our message -- develop content, campaigns and lead events on-campus and off; (3) establish and evaluate KPIs for the effectiveness.
  • Become the subject matter expert for L’Oréal USA on undergraduate recruitment for engineering and scientific talent, delivering a high-quality talent pipeline for summer internships and full-time hires across key areas of the business.
  • Manage relationships with strategic partners like the Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) in addition to faculty, administration and career services at strategic universities.
  • Manage key internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization (HR generalist, management trainee program managers, business partners and hiring managers, campus ambassadors, etc.)
  • Develop innovative digital / remote experiences for engineering / scientific candidates including case studies, hackathons, webinars, etc.
  • Partner closely and align with corporate communications, global Talent Acquisition, HR generalists, and diversity and inclusion teams on strategic employer reputation initiatives and cross-border pipelining.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years professional experience.  Degree in engineering or science discipline highly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and execution of campus recruitment programming at a medium-to-large company or managing populations/programs for entry level talent or students in a company or university environment.
  • Strong collaborator, communicator, advocate and partner who can influence at all levels within a matrix and global environment.
  • Significant seasonal travel required from September – November each year and some weekends to attend events required
  • Excellent project manager with proven history of leading independently and managing cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinker who asks the right questions to find the optimal solutions.
  • Analytical thinker who is comfortable in story-telling with data and generating insights.
  • Innovative risk taker who brings a sense of curiosity to everything they do.
  • General knowledge of recruitment fundamentals, familiarity with an applicant tracking system (ATS) or candidate/customer relationship management system (CRM) a plus.
