Position Title: Territory Development Manager, Professional Products Division Brands

Reports to: Director of Business Development, Professional Products Division Brands Store Sales 

Location: Southern California 


Basic Function:

The Territory Development Manager, PPD Brands is responsible for increasing top line sales and market share within the SalonCentric Store Organization for REDKEN, Matrix, Biolage, Pureology, L’Oreal Professionnel , Pulp Riot and Mizani. The primary goal of this position is to ensure the continued development of the PPD Brands in Stores through the creation and implementation of sales drivers, education, support tools and resources, as well as participation and elevation of SalonCentric Programs. This role is to be based in Southern California.


Responsibilities:

 
  • Plan and conduct strategic, purposeful market visits, both in person and virtual.
  • Identify current market trends, successes and opportunities.
  • Building relationships with SalonCentric partners, internal Brand teams and PPD Brand Team.
  • Develop Store teams on Brands, merchandising, business acumen, initiatives and launches.
  • Support the execution of all PPD Brand launches and initiatives within their territory.
  • Social Media engagement on PPD Store pages twice a week (1 FB and 1 IG)
  • Provide monthly visual merchandising support and feedback to Sr. Managers.
  • Identify opportunities within territory for in-store events and trainings, provide support for successful execution.
  • Actively solicit feedback from stylists and stores.  Provide feedback to the Brands on quarterly calls, in regards to promotions, launches, marketing and in-store placement.
  • Monthly business planning of territory sales, with Director, to ensure support is allocated accordingly.
  • Participation in SCNC annually virtual or in person
  • Participation in Beauty Guru Glam Camp on a rotational basis.
  • Participation in SalonCentric Leadership Summit annually virtual or in person
  • Participation in large Brand events on a rotational basis.
  • Qtrly business planning meetings with DMs in territory.
  • Qtrly Big Bets presentation by region with DMs, RDs and leads
  • Qtrly New Hire Onboarding by region (store teams).
  • Qtrly business planning call with RDs.
  • Qtrly business review with Sales and Education Team.
  • Qtrly store recognition/big bets call.
  • New Store Opening & Remodel support within territory.
  • Monthly touchbase with DMs within territory.
  • Monthly call with Districts within territory.
  • Monthly call with PPD AB Sales & Education team
  • Monthly HDH brand training call
  • Monthly Regional Sales Team Call
  • Weekly call with Directors
  • Qtrly call with Brands.
  • Store and District visits three weeks out of every month virtual or in person
  • Bi-Annual PPD Sales & Education Meeting

Experience:

 

  • Extensive experience in sales/business development within a big box retail and/or chain model, preferably with beauty, professional salon products or retail background.
  • Store Management experience preferred
  • Experience with store merchandising
  • Ability to work weekends as needed
  • Ability and interest in extensive travel (Up to 75%)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Power-Point, Excel and Word

 

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree or commensurate professional experience is required
