Job Summary

The Brand Finance Manager will have financial reporting and analysis responsibilities for select brands within the Active Cosmetics Division.  This position works directly with the Brand Finance AVP, the ACD Marketing Teams and General Management in managing the brand P&L in order to promote optimal decision making within the business.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide Financial support and guidance to the Brand Finance AVP and the brand marketing teams
  • Manage the A&P budget file in totality including planned and actual spend and ensure expenses are classified in accordance to the L’Oreal Finance Norms
  • Responsibility for monthly closing journal entries, actuals reporting and analysis
  • Monthly closing of all modules in the Group’s financial system (PLP, Cost and PLC in Compass)
  • Responsibility for A&P budget and trend creation and maintenance in the Group’s financial system (Compass)
  • Inform Financial Controller of risks & opportunities identified through budget management and ongoing meetings with business partners
  • Ad hoc analysis to evaluate spend and enable management to make sound business decisions
  • Preparation of key reports including customer and franchise P&L’s
  • Use of the Group’s financial system (Compass) and Excel to help effectively manage the P&L on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Ad hoc projects to improve controls / reporting

 

 

 

Skills

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in finance preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience required
  • MBA/CPA a plus
  • Strong computer skills required (Excel a must)
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; business acumen; oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Effective as a self-starter; willing to work outside the confines of defined job responsibilities in order to make greater impact
