Manager, Digital Marketing - Paid Media

LOCATION: Redmond, WA, USA

Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Manager, Digital Marketing - Paid Media is to plan, lead, execute and report on Clarisonic’s digital marketing initiatives, primarily through paid media activations. 

 

Paid Media activations include, but are not limited to, the following platforms:

  1. Paid Search – Google, Amazon Search (AMS)
  2. Paid Social – Leveraging Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat
  3. Display/Video – YouTube, Amazon Advertising
  4. Programmatic – Google DBM, OpenExchange/Private Market Place, Connected TV
  5. External – Digital & Print publications, events

 

The Manager will be working in a highly cross-functional organizational structure and manage day-to-day communications and work flows with Clarisonic’s internal teams (Global Marketing, Creative, Retail, PR/Influencer/Organic Social), L'Oréal Corporate media teams, and vendor partners and agencies.  This position manages multiple priorities and requires quick thinking, flexibility, and attention to detail.  Ideal candidates should be self-starters who excel in a fast-paced environment while also possessing strong organizational skills.  While the Manager will have access to in-house and external Creative resources, they should also feel comfortable with and passionate about self-driving creative concepting, from a copy and visual perspective, in line with the Clarisonic brand and consumer.

 

This position offers deep exposure to digital marketing strategy and media planning, with significant ownership over the brand media strategy.  Successful planning and execution of this strategy will be instrumental in helping the brand achieve its business goals and objectives, maintain and secure its position as the #1 facial cleansing device brand in the U.S., and grow awareness for the entire category as a whole.

 

REPORTING – Reports to Director, Consumer Marketing on the Consumer Marketing Team

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage monthly paid media campaign calendar
  • Create, manage and provide periodic KPI reporting on all Paid Media campaigns
  • Create briefs, provide creative feedback, and route creative through final approval
  • Brainstorm, execute, and report on meaningful A/B test cases that provide key learnings
  • Support Manager in creating performance recaps of overall sales, A/B testing results, segmentation strategies, and engagement
  • Follow company’s product portfolio strategy, sales performance, and marketing tactics
  • Understand consumer preference and habits, product claims, and skincare industry

 

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree: minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA, MBA preferred.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience managing digital media for high volume business-to-consumer CPG/eCommerce business
  • Hands-on experience with Social Media advertising platforms (Facebook required, Twitter, Pinterest a plus) – Audience Insights, campaign planning, analysis and optimization, custom audiences
  • Working knowledge (hands-on is ideal) knowledge of the Google AdWords/DoubleClick platform
  • Proficiency with web analytics platforms – especially Google Analytics.  Must have extensive experience with navigating standard reports, building custom reports and dashboards, segments, event creation and multi-channel attribution.
  • Experience with tagging (GTM or other tag container) and analytics API development
  • Advanced Excel skills, comfortable with pivot tables, formulas, modeling, forecasting, budget management and quickly manipulating large data sets
  • Strong knowledge of current digital media trends, strategies, and techniques
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Identify, scope and implement digital media campaigns while meeting ROI goals.
  • Familiar with executive-level reporting and communication. Able to clearly communicate digital media concepts and spend strategy through PowerPoint to an audience with a wide variation in digital experience.
  • Proficiency in digital media KPIs; tracking and online analytics a must
  • Experience in both digital creative development and digital marketing across multiple channels and platforms
  • Multitasker by nature who can manage multiple processes with a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way.
  • Ability to understand, propose, and refine customer segmentation strategies

 

Preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce platform, especially as it relates to Journey Builder
  • Experience with Image/Video editing software and platforms, to make quick creative adjustments and mock-ups if needed
  • Knowledge of programmatic media buying platforms a plus
  • Knowledge of DMP execution a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships
  • Passion for Skincare/Beauty Industry
