Manager, Retail Marketing, Strategic Accounts – Skinceuticals

Location – New York, New York 

Primary Purpose: 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Development & Retail Marketing, this sales/marketing hybrid role is a key member of the SkinCeuticals US marketing team. With a sharp customer-centric mindset, this critical role will be responsible for strategic partner relationships and retail marketing to positively impact client behavior and improve retailer performance. They will lead the development and execution of in-store/office experience strategies and marketing briefs across multiple omni- retailers, and strategic accounts partners. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing business analysis’s, forecasting, managing 3rd party field sales team partnership, developing promotions and sampling programs & driving CRM strategy for evolving .com partners to constantly ensure that the brand is maximizing presence at the point of sale in order to win market share. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and entrepreneurial thinker who can influence cross-functional teams, retailer, and brand partners. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Business Development/Retail Marketing and works closely with the AVP, Marketing.

 

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

The basic duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop marketing Point of Sales strategies and lead creative briefings for all retailer/national account specific marketing needs
  • Utilize strategic thinking to solve problems, capitalize on business opportunities and communicate crucial market, trade and competitive information to SkinCeuticals senior management, proposing potential solutions and actions steps.
  • Achieve company and account objectives by managing the promotional calendar and marketing plans to promote our products via the best promotional vehicles, with particular emphasis on sell-through to ensure effective trade spending. Evaluate promotions using fact-based selling tools.
  • Manage the Strategic Account process that includes planning account business, presenting account business plans, continuous follow-up to ensure brand objective and monitoring and evaluating sales results.
  • Provide senior management with accurate monthly forecasts that include gross sales, returns and markdowns for each assigned customers.
  • Grow profitable sales volume and market share in line with corporate guideline.
  • Prepare and deliver account presentations with marketing managers and VP Sales utilizing all Sales and Marketing data, to support the SkinCeuticals strategy.
  • Utilize available resources, including Sales and Marketing data, industry and account information, demographic information, etc. to help forecast business and prepare account presentations.
  • Develop and maintain high visibility with major KOL and strategic account buyers, key decision-makers and decision-influencers; leveraging the power of SkinCeuticals’ market position against competitive threats to achieve business opportunities.
  • Work with senior management to develop merchandising & non-medical spa objectives and research current merchandising & non medical spa practices
  • Manage and continue to evolve the brands 3rd party national sales team partnership while evaluating and reporting sales results to N+1 and senior management  
  • Drive education strategy for 3rd party national sales team partnership and at local level of National partner locations
  • Utilize available resources to continuously encourage etailer relationships to maximize and develop CRM & paid media strategies that align with the SkinCeuticals vision and guidelines

   

  •  Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales management role, marketing and/or in the sale of skin care products to the retail, spa, medi-spa, dermatology or plastic surgery markets. 
  • Full Omni-channel mentality, customer-centric background
  • Requires effective interpersonal, organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Must be well versed in business and trade, drug channel and specialty store channels.
  • Proactive, decision-maker, autonomous
  • Analytical in approach to identifying opportunities
  • Must effectively monitor, analyze, interpret and communication business information
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a safe driving record.
  • Requires personal computer skills to include solid knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be enthusiastic, dedicated and energetic
