ACE POSITION / JOB SUMMARY

The primary goal of Artistic Commercial Educator (ACE) is to increase sales by influencing and developing the skills of the salon professionals through educational programs and field support.  The ACE will perform the duties of a Regional Educator (RE) as a part time Brand Artist for a certain amount of days per month (identified by brand). 

The ACE will provide accessible education to target ISMS-Low salons, or salons in need of attention identified by DSM, to conduct conversion demo classes, work in conjunction with the sales teams to build New Partnerships salons and help develop the facilitation skills of the sales consultant with Brand Products.

JOB FUNCTION

The Saloncentric DSM will be responsible for the identifying target lists of salons, scheduling, booking, managing and deployment of the ACE in various Job Functions in the following areas:

1. PRIORITY OF SALONS:

The Saloncentric DSM will provide a list of targeted salon accounts identified on the monthly POD call and review with the Brand EEM. 

• • Together the DSM-EEM will decide an Action Plan for the SSC / Education Classes needed for the salons identified on the target lists.

2. MANAGEMENT OF EXISTING BUSINESS:

The ACE works with DSM on the Action Plan of education programs to support the growth of the salons each month. 

• The DSM will then enter the Class Requests for individual Salons on Salesforce.com for desired *Power-hour / *Product Updates / *Brand Classes and mark the class time on request for each specific class. 
• The ACE is required to facilitate 3-4 (*1-2 hour classes) in-salon classes for ISMS – Low ($1 - $19K in business) identified on target lists.
• Trains the SSC on new Products / Launches and Education Programs

3. MANAGEMENT OF NEW BUSINESS:

DSM to work in collaboration with EEM to determine the appropriate education strategy to achieve Conversions in the most productive manner. 

• Execute brand PK demo (2 hour) for new partnership conversions. 
• Participate in New Partnership Events as the education lead of the event.

4. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

The AVP Field Education will direct the Director of Training in determining what Training Programs, On-Boarding of RE and Sales Teams, Immersion Programs are most needed in the market which classes each ACE are qualified to facilitate based on the training and development. 

• As directed by Director of Training to help on-board and train RE’s, SDE’s and SSC’s on the facilitation of Redken products
• The ACE is contracted on Salesforce and all expenses will be the responsibility of the ACE to reimburse through Randstad
• The Director of Training is responsible for the ACE and the Artist Network for continued training and development.
• Maintains technical competence and expertise under Brand standards.
• Understand and embrace Brand education offerings and sales launches.

5. SECTION 3:  JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills required to perform the Job

• High School graduate.
• Current licensed cosmetologist with min. 3-5 years industry experience
• Must live in designated geographical territory
• Must have driver’s license and personal transportation
• Superior technical hairdressing
• Superior sales and communication skills
• Ability to analyze client business objectives and propose a solution that benefits both the brand and the client
• Knowledge of business and educational aspects of Salon Centric / distributor organization
• An understanding of Salon Centric / Distributor educational planning as it relates to class policies, use of field, and contract trainers
• Ability to adhere to budgets, for all field training activity and T&E
• Strong facilitation skills / coaching skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Full comprehension of the Brand Education philosophy and training methodology.
• Support all brand events, special accounts and shows as directed.
• Facilitates 3-4 in salon / power hour classes per day (1 hour classes)
• Upholds L’Oreal policies and procedures for all working relationships with salons.
• Attends and participates in all Brand Artist Trainings.
• Maintains technical competence under L’Oreal/PPD standards.
• Attends divisional meetings and sales meetings as directed.
• Maintain the Brand Image as defined by the NYO.
