What You Will Do:
The Sr. Manager of Advanced Analytics - BETiq Business Partner is a newly created role with the goal to augment marketer’s decision making with data driven insights. Leveraging two key skillsets: a strong, strategic business mindset; combined with demonstrated, quantitative data instincts and capabilities. Acting as a ‘power-user’ expert of BETiq, a core business partner to the divisional teams and serving as a central resource for implementing change management into the US group via the BETiq tool and its work processes.
Responsibilities include: strong understanding of the MMM inputs (marketing levers modeled, marginal ROIs, saturation curves), tool capabilities and synthesis of business objectives via the tool’s outputs. BETiq outputs will provide divisional business partners with firm planning insights and direction for forthcoming annual budgets. The candidate will become an invaluable business partner, working across categories/brands, to help inform planning decisions owned by divisional teams.
An ideal candidate will possess a sharp analytical mindset and have the capability to clearly articulate and apply analytical learnings for business partner situations. Strong communication skills (both oral and written), comfortable working across multiple work-streams and stakeholders, simultaneously, contain a flexible/adaptable mindset (being able to adjust thinking on the fly), and have a lighter, patient approach in order to train others within the business teams (CDMO/MI, media teams, brand teams, financial teams, global teams) on the tool’s working inputs and application of its outputs to their specific business lenses. Optimal candidate will also possess strong project management skills – timeline management, roles/responsibility assignments, task execution – for efficient and effective project implementation.
For context: the BETiq tool is part of a larger transformation within the overall group – evolving L’Oreal into a stronger data-driven organization; using data-driven decisions in strategic planning to maximize business ROI and in-market brand performance (sell-out share). BETiq is a quantitative tool which leverages MMx data and modeling (marketing touchpoint response curves) to provide output to business teams, informing them on how to maximize profit and/or market share while ensuring strong growth of brand equity.
