Sr. Manager, Paid Social Job Description 

 

The ONE Media team is a center of excellence that works in service to the over 30 beautiful brands of L’Oreal USA.  Our mission is to ensure our brands have best in class partnerships in value, structure and ways of working with our media partners and agencies while delivering next level strategic vision. Our Sr. Manager of Paid Social will enable us to execute great work in the smartest way possible.  We are looking for a person to provide support in managing world-class Paid Social partnerships and technical governance for our brands.  To succeed, you will need to be a self-starter who is always looking for the next thing to improve, a creative solutions advocate, willing and eager to try new tools and technology, passionate and knowledgeable about media and data, have an understanding of project management within a complex organization.

Brand Social Leads

Social Partners: Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, Tik Tok, etc.

 

Day-to-day, your role includes: 

  • TECHNICAL MASTERY: Partner with CCE/Digital IT/CDO/brand social leads in building best in class Paid Social organizational structure
  • GOVERNANCE: Support AVP in maintaining strong governance across CDMO’s Paid Social workstreams: enforcing rules of engagement/best practices, technical governance, reporting, legal and data privacy across brands and agencies
  • BUILDING COMMUNITY: Facilitate and manage agenda for weekly Social Salon and share out learnings to LUSA Paid Social media community
  • Solid understanding of L’Oreal USA brand needs (e.g. data categorization, reporting, training)
  • Elevated knowledge of how dashboards, social platform business centers, and reporting offerings can support L’Oreal (local and global) needs
  • Understanding of social media best practices and ability to advise brands as needed

 

The details behind what you’ll do:  

  • Paid Social and Influencer CDMO workstreams: 
    • Ensure brands are following Rules of Engagement across Paid Social platforms
    • Support technical governance implementation within brand teams(e.g. naming convention, account hierarchy, viewability)
    • Review/develop LUSA level reporting (e.g. DOMO, SOV report, scorecards)
    • Ensure all Paid Social media execution has appropriate legal/data privacy sign off
    • Provide POV derived from internal and external Social knowledge to inform brands as needed
    • Liaise with CDO team in Paris to project manage CDO led Social initiatives in the US
  • Media Agency Partnership Support for Social Media
    • Support AVP in overseeing the agencies development of best practices, benchmarks, and ways of working for paid social
    • Support AVP in relationship development and partner selection for PMD for social execution
    • Ensure in-house teams and Agencies teams share learnings and best practices regularly  
    • Lead the creation of PO and agency bonus evaluation
  • Responsible for management and development of Social partnerships 
    • Ensure all JBP benefits are executed (e.g. learning ageda, bonus allocations, trainings)
    • Monthly meetings with all core social partners
    • Lead the development of learning agendas
    • Work with agencies to keep track of contract benefits and commitment
    • Review and communicate first to market opportunities to LUSA brands
    • Support AVP in scaling learnings across LUSA


We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes: 

  • Expert at integrating and synthesizing and being resourceful to solve issues of moderate size and complexity
  • Strong project management skill and able to continuously prioritize tasks according to business needs
  • Curious, Passionate, Agency Experience Preferred
  • BS Degree with in-depth business knowledge and experience. 
  • A minimum of 7-10 years Media experience within media agency or client side
