Job Title: Sr. Manager – Field-Based Training Team Lead

Division: SkinCeuticals

Reports To: VP, Education and Training

Location: Field Based-Remote

 

Summary:  Under the direction of the VP, this position will be responsible for leading and developing the field-based training team, executing the strategic direction for all in person seminars and in-office education. They will collaborate across multiple departments to ensure our training programs meet the needs of a #1 medical skincare brand. This role will also oversee and negotiate the contract commitments for our strategic partnerships and ensure the education department delivers premium training compliant with all contractual obligations, either virtual or in person.  Working closely with our E-learning and virtual team leads, this role seeks digital integration opportunities that would strengthen our branding and commitment to innovate learning and development.

 

 

Leadership Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages a team of training professionals to execute on live seminars, in office education and web-based trainings as needed.
  • Creates and deploys a seminar schedule across the US, in collaboration with Sales Leaders and VP of Education, to execute technical training
  • Coordinates contractual trainings for Strategic Account partners including, but not limited to, Flagship Accounts, National Accounts and Skin Labs
  • Develops the field-based training team to deliver best in class education including asset utilization, consistent delivery of content and seminar set ups through ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Responsible for seminar budgets ensuring events are executed and delivered within allocated funds from each team member.
  • Identifies new training opportunities for the field-based training team and, in coordination with VP of Education, sales and DMI teams, assists in content creation for such; trains field-based training team on new content delivery
  • Provides dashboard/feedback to VP of Education on KPI’s including, but not limited to budget status, engagement, survey results, sales (tied to seminars), pre and post seminar pre-requisites and staff
  • Coordinates gratis inventory, orders and coordination of shipments
  • Coordinates PRO TALK schedules with Senior Manager of Ecommerce to ensure proper scheduling
  • Provides monthly reports on Field Education and bi-annual SWOT analysis to VP of Education 

 

 

Program Development:

 

  • Leads content contribution and creation for current training programs, with ideas for new product materials, training materials, participant tools and/or other new techniques to meet the needs of our external customers
  • Facilitates the research, development, and delivery of new training programs in accordance with needs assessment performed in the field, including expanding current programs and based on the team’s observations and contributions
  • Keeps abreast of competitors’ activities and actively shares information with the VP ideas that will impact future success
  • Works closely with AVP of Digital and Virtual Education to support Virtual seminars as needed; creates cohesive training plans leveraging assets for both live and virtual events

 

 

Cross-Functional Responsibilities: National Education Manager

 

Training Delivery:

 

LIVE SEMINARS

 

  • Conducts large group, customer facing seminars (25-125 peoples) in the field utilizing tools and assets provided and delivering consistent messaging as designed on topics including, but not limited to, product knowledge, professional protocols, science, selling techniques, display, and merchandising.
  • Sets up all displays, participant guides, demonstration products and table center pieces at seminars consistent with leadership directives and plans for consistent delivery of content
  • Orders seminar gratis, based on registrations, to distribute at seminar conclusion to participants; returns and/or ships to next seminar and overage
  • Enters seminar participants into SalesForce for tracking purposes within 2 weeks of seminar date; enters in-office training activities into SFDC within 2 weeks of training for tracking purposes.

 

 

VIRTUAL SEMINARS & SPECIALIZED TRAINING

 

  • Assists in delivering digital/virtual seminars, as needed, to support technical training initiatives.
  • Delivers excellent education via streaming services and exemplifies SkinCeuticals branding displays and appropriate product positioning

 

 

Meetings and Trade Shows:

 

  • Regularly attends meetings and conducts trainings on a National level.
  • Attends SkinCeuticals tradeshows for pertinent professional meetings; manages Treatment Suites, if applicable, at major medical / industry meetings based on the need and in collaboration with Medical Affairs.
  • Assists in the preparation and execution of two annual sales meetings.
  • Regularly attends trainings offered through L’Oreal USA (MyLearning) to broaden scope of expertise

 

 

Experience / Abilities Required:

 

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Must be licensed esthetician
  • Minimum 5-7 years hands-on training experience and/or equivalent related work and educational experience.
  • 2-4 years management experience
  • Must be able to travel to training sessions, sales meetings, trade shows, corporate office as necessary to meet the training objectives and business needs of account executives and accounts (40%)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Valid US driver’s license
