What You Will Do:

 

The Senior Manager of Training (East) is responsible for the continued success and growth of Artists on a national level via training, coaching and development. They report to the AVP of Education Development & Training and work closely with the VP of Education and the entire Education Team. They manage and develop Artists from Induction and onboarding to In field coaching and development as well as actively recruit experienced talent. They will create and execute an inspirational training plan in line with the business direction and the needs the Artists. They will maintain, build and train the curriculum, facilitator guides, tools lists, show flow. They will be the lead on Tour locations in terms of execution from Artist proposals, Artist bookings, pre class calls and set up, on location coach and point person, team set up and on-site host and coach, as well as post class feedback review and action. They will take the lead bimonthly on the Artist Connection call and support as a core team member on set brand events and activity.  They will manage the legal aspect and set up of Artist Contracts and usage management and be the point person for DMI when it comes to International Artist work.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Field Coaching: 40% of time

Travelling nationally coaching Artists.

  • Field accompaniment with Artists for coaching and development.
  • Setting up the programs and teams to deliver exceptional programs.
  • Pre event activity and set up.
  • Point person on site to provide real time coaching and development.

 

Artist Development: 10% of time 

Coach and development of Artists.

  • Key point of contact for your artists.
  • Support and develop this team of artists as needed.  
  • Prepare development calls when needed for your artists.
  • Create follow up plan of calls.
  • Maintain EMS details for their artists.

 

 

Structured training: 30% of time 

To plan and execute structured trainings working in conjunction with the development team in line with the business objectives.

  • Artist Immersion Specific for experiences Artists.
  • Bimonthly Artist connection calls.
  • Annual LAB plan including both virtual and live activity.
  • Annual large scale brand training event support and set up.
  • New product education.
  • Curriculum training.
  • Other training activity as needed.
  • Manage, produce and maintain inventory all supplies, products, materials and needs for programs working.
  • Tracking and organizing budgets and expenses.

 

Curriculum: 10% of time 

Ensuring curriculum is maintained to the highest standard.

  • Complete understanding of curriculum content and brand information
  • Setting up the teams for successful education of the set curriculum
  • Working with Artists to establish Artistic Expression classes from content, needs and show flow
  • Updating curriculum when needed including but not limited to presentations, facilitation guides, flyers, agendas, tool lists, welcome letters, etc

 

Admin:  10% of time

  • Working on contracted artists contracts.
  • Working with Paris on International bookings and associated admin and follow up.
  • Keep Outlook calendar current.
  • T&E submitted in a timely manner as per policy.
  • Pre/Post Key Program Recaps

 

 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Current cosmetology license and mastery of skill in practical terms
  • At least 3 – 5 years of event planning, education and/or professional beauty industry experience.  
  • 3-5 Years experience of Training and people development
  • Strong facilitation and adult learning skills
  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume of activity, with adaptability to changing demands
  • Knowledge of business and educational aspects of Salon Centric / distributor organization
  • An understanding of Salon Centric / Distributor educational planning as it relates to class policies, use of field, contract trainers and event P & L
  • Strategic planning with attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, develop, and adhere to budgets, for all field training activity and T&E
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint (required). SalesForce.com and/or SAP (preferred)
  • Ability to travel (minimum 40%)
  • Ability to be flexible and accept change and be a team player
