Job Role:

Raw Materials and Contract Manufacturing  responsibility is for all raw materials used at CM’s for Co-Man, full-service and full-buy scope

Financials

  • Liaison for purchasing financial performance, development, and reporting of purchasing trends/budgets in-line with CM BT 360 Teams
  • Initiate and lead cost reduction projects through negotiation and new project execution to meet annual goals
  • Present supplier award recommendation in line with global and local category strategies specific to NA CM network

Launch and Operational Performance

·        Act as key point of contact for Raw Material @ CM sourcing for external (CM, Suppliers, distributors) & Internal teams (OMA, CM SRC, etc)

  • Provide Operational assistance to meet service level goals
  • Collaborate on supplier performance, and continuous improvements in the supply base to reduce risk and waste in the supply chain
  • Utilize insights generated from market research and industry trends to drive a mindset of current tactical optimization and new tactical innovation
  • Prepare RFQ, analyze supplier cost breakdowns, using internal and external benchmarks
  • Validate supplier capacities, identify potential risks and recommend mitigation plan

Business Collaboration

·        Collaboration with L’Oréal CM SRC to anticipate innovation cost optimization and securitization to maximize business profitability

 

·        Propose, translate, and lead business model to bridge business needs vs innovation needs

·        Contribute, Implement, and pilot (with WW sourcing teams) the global sourcing strategies with our métier business strategies for North America Zone

 

·        Develop and drive the sourcing vision for, with, and through the external + internal stakeholder community to transform North America RM @ CM Strategy

Qualifications and Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance/Engineering/Supply Chain or similar discipline
  • 5+ years purchasing experience
  • High degree of financial and analytical aptitude a must
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Exceptionally strong Excel and MS office skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to handle various situations, multiple priorities, changing business needs as well as the diverse personalities within L’Oreal and the supplier community
