What are key highlights of this role?

The role covers two L’Oreal Divisions. The Consumer Products Division’s mission is to offer the best in cosmetics innovation to the greatest number of people using all mass-market channels. Brands include L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline & Essie. The Active Cosmetics Division is the fastest growing division of L’Oréal and is No1 worldwide in the Dermocosmetics category. Brands include La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Roger & Gallet, SkinCeuticals and Sanoflore.

 

You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of stock controllers fulfilling a vital support function for Distribution Centre Operations.  The core remit of the role is to ensure the SAP stock ledger fully matches our physical stock position.  To fulfil this thorough investigation, resolution and recording of stock queries is expected.  You will also hold responsibility for ensuring accurate Warehouse master data is created and maintained for our product portfolio, and for the adherence of the department to our Cycle count schedule. You will work closely with the Catalogue planning function to ensure Warehouse Storage capacity is maximised, and will be responsible for management of any external storage requirements.





Measures of success:

  • Recorded stock variances to be within targeted range.
  • Achievement of budgeted external storage costs.

  • Clear agreed coordinated schedules for stocktakes at our 3rd party providers.

  • Stock positioning enabling 100% servicing of sales orders.

  • Succession and development planning in place for the team.

  • Accurate control of all sensitive stock movements in the DC. – inventory adjustments; stock destructions etc.

  • Consistent and clear tracking, presentation and achievement of Departmental KPI’s.

  • To be able to assimilate and then uphold the L’Oreal Normes (rules) surrounding Stock and inventory management.

     

    Preferred qualifications/experience:

  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience

  • Experience of a FMCG environment.

  • Prior experience in people management is required and it is essential that you are able to motivate and lead.

  • A strong working knowledge of stock control is expected.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills is essential, you must have the ability to deal effectively with senior stakeholders throughout the business
  • Influence effectively, overcoming barriers.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude to problem solving, you must be confident and enthusiastic in your manner, you will be practical and methodical in your approach to problem solving, and will work well as part of a team.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse data to solve a challenge.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Experience of SAP is essential – of particular interest is experience in SAP master data & WM modules or Supply planning.
  • A good knowledge of EHS standards & activities.
  • Experience of DC location profiling solutions is desirable.
  • Experience of 3PL activities and processes
  • Able to travel to other DC’s across the UK and occasional international travel.
  • Flexible to be able to work occasional weekends and unsocial hours as required by the role.
