JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Body Shop International is recruiting a full time Solutions Architect - Digital & Customer based in our Global Headquarters in East Croydon.  The Solutions Architect owns the Digital and Customer architecture domain, including technologies that address eCommerce, digital, in-store technology and CRM across The Body Shop. You will be responsible for setting the future direction of these capabilities, outlining a roadmap that meets the strategic needs of the business and working with the relevant teams to assure their delivery.

The role in a nutshell

You will be the domain expert and be the go to person for a range of stakeholders.  At the inception of an idea, you will marry up business strategy and come up with the technical road map to match that.  You will have the personality and drive to influence and shape and add value in your key areas.  You will be up to date with emerging trends and competitor analysis.  You will work with our delivery partners and be able to have toe to toe conversations with them.  We have only just replatformed, so this person has big role to play in shaping the future technology of our business .

What you'll need

  • A strong understanding of eCommerce, digital, in-store technology and CRM solutions and capabilities.
  • Experience of the Retail industry.
  • All-round experience of a range of technology solutions and a good understanding of the full-lifecycle of enterprise delivery projects.
  • Significant experience creating solutions through business process re-architecture and/or technology.
  • Highly innovative and constantly looking for smarter improvements.
  • Experience of leading teams of IT professionals, including the management of teams comprising mixed sourcing and geography. 


Location

Our global HQ is located in the heart of East Croydon – 1 minute walk from the train station and is just 10 minutes train ride from Clapham Junction and 16 minutes from London Victoria. Our brand new office opened just over one year ago and provides a light, modern and open-plan work space that includes an onsite global café and even a live living wall in the reception area.
