Job Summary:

The Training Specialist is responsible for contributing to the improvement of productivity of the workforce. This position is responsible for effective coordination, and execution of on-the-job (OTJ) training and education initiatives for distribution employees. The Training Specialist works directly with distribution employees who need training and training mentors for skill development. The Training Specialist is responsible to ensure employee competency to L’Oréal’s Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ) and Performance standards.

 

Job Requirements:

• High School graduate
• 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
• 1-3 years of experience on the job (OTJ) training and presenting
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in document control preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain L’Oreal forklift certification
• Video creation skills or willingness to learn  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Support On-the-Job training for the production employees including:
  • SHEQ & Performance Competency Training
    • Identify and support site training mentors
    • Update training content and supporting procedures as needed
    • Certify and validate competency as needed
    • Provide one on one or classroom training directly to employees
• Ensure SHEQ and Performance standards are maintained through the training
• Coordinate and schedule training
• Ensure tracking and documentation control of training records, procedures, and forms
• Coordinate activities: Some examples include- employee engagement events
• Prepare for and participate in Audits for compliance
• Ability to obtain L’Oreal PIT certification

Working Conditions

• Moving machinery, such as forklifts: employees required to operate a forklift must successfully complete forklift operator training.
• All operators and mechanics are provided with and required to wear safety glasses, safety vest, steel-toed shoes, and gloves.
• All employees are properly trained in the use of adjunct lifting/moving equipment and proper body mechanics.
