Job Title:  Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Content and Digital Strategy

Job Summary

The AVP of Ecommerce Content and Digital Strategy is responsible for leading the digital content strategy and brand management for Hair.com across the marketing ecosystem and all owned and earned platforms. 


Direct owner of the Hair.com business across all Professional Products Division (PPD) brands with key responsibilities including:


Content Strategy

Own "content-to-commerce" strategy development of unique consumer-facing content, including production of video, photo assets, and complete oversight of editorial calendar.  Manage the continued expansion of hair.com’s social media and influencer marketing strategy through owned and earned platforms.


Collaborate in lockstep with e-commerce team to develop upper funnel content to attract and convert consumers to purchase.


Execution

Lead user experience (UX) enhancements for hair.com from design and development to deployment with the goal of increasing stickiness metrics and return rates.  Directly own key channels through which consumers engage including CRM to customer service.


Consumer Engagement 

Focus on developing compelling content that creates new ways for Hair.com and the Division to engage with consumers across various channels while balancing and integrating brand and business priorities throughout.


Content Excellence

Act as the content center of excellence at PPD for digital content, social media and influencer management. Work with PPD brand partners to help support their content strategies by creating assets that can be multi-purposed beyond hair.com.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with marketing or business focus preferred
  • 5+ years experience leading interactive initiatives for a national brand or agency
  • Ability to engage salon professionals, promote PPD technology platforms and address salon owners' concerns
  • The ability to lead, inspire and influence teams and others
  • Executive maturity and presence is essential
  • Build collaborative relationships across functional areas of the business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong contract negotiations and vendor relationships
  • Basic web analytics and CRM report skills
  • Self- motivated, results-oriented, strategic thinker

Judgment and Decision Making

This role requires the management of a wide spectrum of internal and external partners, including regular contact with key senior leadership stakeholders.


This position will require constant interaction and management of an external digital agency (team of 7), all Marketing/Digital/PR/Social PPD teams, and moderate interaction with promotional vendors, creative freelancers, customer service, finance, and other cross-functional partners. 


Must be confident in ability to make decisions in an autonomous, test & learn, environment as well as act as an advisor to brand partners.  Able to thrive with moderate supervision and maintain proper strategic direction and work together to pioneer the future.
