Job Summary:

The AVP of Trade Marketing and Promotional Planning is responsible for the strategic development and execution of SalonCentric’s marketing programs and overall branding to drive business growth throughout SalonCentric.  Responsibilities include branding of SalonCentric plus ensuring all marketing opportunities and strategies, collateral sourcing and promotions lead to the success of our business goals.  The role is critical in managing and leading the marketing efforts that include P & L budget / ROI planning, goal setting, and leading and developing the Marketing team. The ideal person is creative, collaborative, consultative, and strategic with a strong ability to work well across a large organization both cross departmentally and with key brand executives.

 

 

Position Responsibilities:

·         Manage Creative Services Team, Promotional Planning, Brand and Channel Marketing and Publications as well as 2nd and 3rd party partnerships

·         Oversee trade advertising and sponsorship opportunities to drive new customers to SalonCentric

·         Design and execute SalonCentric marketing programs including sales, monthly animations and reward contests

·         Drive traffic and sales for SalonCentric Sales and Store channels and educational shows/events

·         Build and monitor loyalty programs that deliver a superior customer experience

·         Maximize overall SalonCentric channel-specific and Omni-channel objectives

·         Collaborate with Channel Heads and Category Management to develop opportunities for communication between brands

·         Optimize key initiatives through formal publications, in-store merchandising opportunities and customized programs

·         Partner with brands to design support plans that leverage SalonCentric communications vehicles and marketing programs as part of the Brand planning process

·         Provide direction to the brands to ensure Brand collateral materials (e.g. store signage and catalog ads) are impactful, effective and can be executed

·         Source and oversee production of collateral, print materials etc. for all departments

·         Direct brands to ensure promotional deal structures can be executed at SalonCentric

·         Ensure that deals are funded/approved by Finance and set up appropriately

·         Communicate changes to promotional brand deals and drop-ins to SC Teams

·         Design promotional offers and secure Brand participation in SC promotions including obtaining funding commitments

 

 

Job Requirements:

·         Relevant marketing experience (7+ years), preferably B2B and B2C with direct responsibility over multi-channel performance

·         Experience managing and developing teams of marketing professionals

·         Experience managing a marketing budget and optimizing sales of B2B product portfolio

·         Deep understanding of Omni-channel consumer approach, especially from a B2B perspective

·         Able to work in cross functional teams within and across a variety of brands

·         Ability to build strong business relationships and work collaboratively with peers and senior management

·         Must have long-term authorization to work in the U.S.

 

 

 

 

Judgment and Decision Making:

This position requires high level of judgment, decision making and influencing skills as this person will be working closely with the SalonCentric Management teams on the recommendation and implementation of the overall business plans.
