We have a suitable opportunity in the function of Marketing for the position of Manager – Marketing (Hair Care). This is an individual contributor role where one has to collect and analyse consumer and market insight data and make recommendations, implement new launches and maintain growth in pillar product. The candidate should have minimum 2 years of sales experience. The location of the job will be in Mumbai and candidates from FMCG, Consumer Goods or companies catering to beauty industry will be given advantage. The location of the job will be in Mumbai.



Job Responsibilities:

  • To orchestrate the launches and drive growth of pillar products and contribute to the growth of the brand and consumer relationship

  • To collect and analyse consumer and market insights, competition strategies and make recommendations to management

  • To design and implement promotion plans and ensure implementation of trade marketing plan

  • To propose and monitor marketing mix strategies (Integrated Marketing Communications / 360 / Digital / Retail) and build engaging consumer brand experiences

  • To adapt communication material (imagery, digital, point of sale)

  • To mobilize and work with other departments (sales, logistic, education) and partner agencies to build business strategy and meet deadlines

  • To plan and ensure sales forecast accuracy

  • To make recommendations to management on the category based on one’s expertise of the consumer, market and competitors (launch analysis, strategic memo, etc.)


Key Deliverables:

  • To achieve the net conso and brand equity targets on the portfolio
  • To manage and execute consumer promotions - timing, sizing, effectiveness measurement (ROI) and managing budgets across minorations, Purchase with Purchase (PWP) and Gift with Purchase (GWP)

  • To manage the new launch on the portfolio: Achieve 0.4% MS Exit 2017 and corresponding secondary sales targets

  • To drive P1 Market growth - Secondary targets of +11% through micro marketing initiatives and targeted media deployment

  • To conceive and execute a consumer engagement platform for L'Oreal Paris Haircare that leverages experts, influencers and spokespersons - ideation and pilot 2 ideas in the period  April - Sept - measured through dipsticks

Key Competencies:

  • Worked in Sales / SDM roles in the manned retail channel

  • Good knowledge of FMCG products

  • Business Analytical skills

  • Attention to detail and operational excellence

  • Is able to work as a team player

  • Drives alignment, interacts effectively, demonstrates entrepreneurship and Innovates

  • Internal Interactions – Marketing, Sales, SDM, Supply Chain, Consumer and Market Insights, DMI, Control, Regulatory and Zone team

  • External Interactions – Agencies (Advertising, Digital and PR)
