Vice President (VP) of Global Digital Marketing and Ecommerce

The Vice President (VP) of Digital will be responsible for leading the global digital marketing strategy for NYX Professional Makeup across global brand sites and all retailer/pure player sites where NYX Professional Makeup is sold.

This candidate will also be responsible for all digital innovation across all channels where NYX Professional Makeup is sold, including physical retail stores. The candidate is responsible for driving the development, maintenance and merchandising of the eCommerce Master Flagship site and working closely with countries/zones in achieving channel profitability goals in order to hit P&L targets to continue to drive channel growth. This role will actively collaborate with cross-functional partners across the organization to develop digital assets for on-site merchandising across the D2C site, e-retailer, and pure players, develop innovative new digital direct-to-consumer tools, and develop and deliver a comprehensive email and content marketing calendar.

To be successful, this role requires daily interaction with US Digital, US and Global Marketing, Social Media, Education, Creative, and Finance. In addition, partnership with global marketing teams and digital IT teams are essential to success. This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills and diplomacy and requires demonstrated ability to justify priorities to internal and external partners.

This role will report directly to the Deputy General Manager, Global Marketing, NYX Professional Makeup in El Segundo, CA.


  • Lead the global digital strategy across direct-to-consumer ecommerce, e-retailer partners and pure players
    • Responsible for online marketing, merchandising, user experience, site operations and the global digital marketing calendar. Ensure alignment with all global partners at the zone and country level.
    • Responsible for the visual and content strategy of the brand on-site, including images, videos, articles, and other digital media (banner ads, email blasts, site updates, blog and content updates etc.)
    • Manage execution of the strategy, including ongoing development of creative content, and site modifications, and enhancements
    • Negotiate terms and agreements with third party agencies at a global level
    • Oversee budget process for sites and revenue streams, managing the sales revenues and profitability of sites, focus on increasing key performance indicators across all markets to achieve global ecommerce sales profitability and growth
    • Responsible for providing leadership to all markets around SEM, SEO, affiliate and re-targeting programs.
    • Stay abreast of relevant new technologies in the digital space to recommend site enhancements, focused on ROI
  • Lead digital innovation strategy and initiatives
  • Serve as the go-to person for all global digital innovation across all digital and physical channels/touchpoints
  • Provide cross-functional leadership to get buy-in and support from all key players in order to launch successfully
  • Collaborate with marketing teams in developing effective 360-launch campaigns for all digital innovations
  • Build a global rollout business case to expand the platform to other markets
  • Communicate performance, learnings and opportunities on a regular basis
  • Develop a global roadmap for CRM, email marketing initiatives and innovative customer relationship management tactics and drive engagement across all markets to develop the direct-to-consumer relationship
  • Includes email marketing, SMS, chatbot, push messaging, etc.
  • Deliver the global loyalty program strategy and educate all markets on local approaches to loyalty success in their markets
  • Manage the NYX Professional Makeup mobile app (iOS and Android) enhancements, content and operations.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing a high volume business-to-consumer Digital business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital and/or Marketing
  • Strong knowledge of current Digital trends, strategies, and technique
  • Highly knowledgeable and passionate about the beauty world and beauty trends
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics and Google Software Suite, Basecamp project management tool, JIRA.
