KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure launch commitments with business are met with regard to lead times and costs while proactively identifying and mitigating scale up risks.
  • Manage lab operations by optimizing resources, defining and respecting launch conditions, coordinating activities with support departments in France and abroad, issuing updates on any risks and ensuring product availability in line with commitments. Play an active part in working collaboratively with other functions of R&I as well as packaging innovation, packaging development & operational marketing.
  • Have strong project management expertise; yet be able to work in a complex and ambiguous environment.
  • Develop business and consumer centric team & impart training to improve technical capability to deliver consumer preferred formulations, claims, proposition, new sensorial & efficacy that has local potential & global relevance.
  • Identify, propose & accelerate breakthrough global cleanser & leave-on technologies & introduce them to the zone to achieve affordable ‘first to market’ advantage, incremental revenue & improved margins.
  • Suggest cross-disciplinary innovation strategies within the business line; monitor and maintain the catalogue of existing formulas
  • Provide monitoring in your field of expertise and develop your internal and/or external network
  • Encourage and ensure the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by monthly safety visit, conducting risk assessment of work area, submitting reports to EHS team, and periodic Safety trainings for team members.
  • Role model the Simplicity Initiative, champion and cascade new ways of working for faster time-to-market delivery. Secure the technological innovations in the form of patents.
  • Recruit, develop and manage teams; ensure the development of know-how and expertise and contribute to organizational development

EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Masters or PhD with 10 – 15 years’ experience in physical chemistry/formulation.
  • Has knowledge on skin biology
  • Able to work in international team context
