Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Lead the collection and systematic analysis of Hong Kong's market data (panels; media plans, socio-economics, culture, demography, innovations, changes in the market), ensure information quality and accuracy 
  • Provide analyses and recommendations to ensure proper consideration of the consumer into the group/division/brand/category’s growth strategy
  • Analyze the evolution of the markets, the sector and the competition’s activities, to inform the country business strategy, provide senior management team with regular reporting by brands, divisions and total country 
  • Identify major trends of the market to detect growth opportunities, specifically in Chinese Global shopper pattern and behavior
  • Generate consumer insights, share them with the marketing teams and work with them to make the projects (products, services, communication) engaging for consumers 
  • Build and manage research plan: organize consumer validation of the positioning of the brand, products and services (concepts, formulae, integrated communication) and develop strategic recommendations to guide the teams in finalizing projects and finding the right angle of attack
  • Propose and formalize the scope of the market research projects (objectives, timeframes, human and material resources, costs), manage the relationships with external agencies, ensuring the correct use and application of the Group's methodologies 
  • Develop consumer insight expertise, implementation of Consumer Connect and ROI analysis programme in the country

 

Desired Skillsets:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, statistics or related discipline 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in market and consumer intelligence within retail/consumer industries
  • Demonstrates expertise on all types of market research methodology, panel analysis, statistics and big data 
  • Ability to translate consumer and trends into meaningful insights 
  • Influences business strategy and communication CMI analysis with conviction (clarity, ability to synthesize, impact)
  • Excellent numerical and analytical sense
  • A business partner to management; ability to influence and make impact 
  • Motivated and a self-starter
