Director, Redken Digital Platforms and Innovation

Responsible for the management and strategy of brand’s digital platform activities reporting directly to the VP of Digital and Communications. This role supports the brand’s global expansion via digital strategies and solutions, leads the implementation of digital programs that best meet the needs of the business and serves as the execution lead for global digital platforms initiatives. From a strategic planning perspective, conceptualize a forward thinking brand digital road map and integrated ecosystem to meet the needs of the consumer and professional brand experiences with attention to CRM journeys and eCommerce transfer.

Day-to-day responsibilities include functioning as the key digital point person for all brand’s US digital properties and acting as a liaison between the brand, local markets, IT, and creative partners. Oversees the day-to-day management of online properties, leads the development and execution of new strategic initiatives, sites, apps, virtual try-ons, connected tools / wearables, and digital innovations. Manages two direct reports: Manager of Platform and Manager, Design and UX.

This position requires extensive coordination and partnerships cross-functionally with multiple international teams. Experience should include excellent qualitative and quantitative skills and strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will lead the road map of prioritized enhancements to drive consumer and professional experiences and purchases; and test and drive traffic and sales strategies.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and innovate global digital platforms to reach consumers and professionals and expand the brand’s presence worldwide.
  • Content Site Development / Ecommerce: Build an innovative selling strategy around e-commerce / drive to e-retail, ensuring the global consumer and professional experience & cross channel consistency; partner with strategic e-retailers in order to develop our e-commerce business.
  • Maintain and improve SEO health of Redken.com using SEO knowledge and partnership with agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • CRM strategy: ensure a strong customer knowledge and data management, a targeted contact & service strategy and appropriate relationship campaigns & tracking.
  • Partner with Intelligence team to define campaign KPIs, evaluate campaign efficiency & effectiveness and manage campaign budgets.

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • 5-7 years marketing experience with a deep understanding of the digital space
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Demonstrated experience and a passion for SEO, Mobile API integrations, UX best practices, site navigation, user flow and content management
  • Knowledge of web based technologies to design and develop dynamic web-based and mobile integrations and applications
  • Data analytics and metrics oriented (Google Analytics Premium)
  • HTML/CSS and CMS experience a must
  • Working knowledge of Demandware / Sitecore
  • Strong understanding and the use of current online/digital technology to drive brand experiences
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to effectively manage relationships with diverse international internal and external contacts. Ability to manage both up and down.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Analytics
  • Experience in Fashion and Beauty a plus
