The Director of Marketing will direct all marketing and brand initiatives in line with established strategic corporate goals.  The Director has responsibility for achieving the annual budget plan as well as the growth and development of all brands in assigned categories.  Additional responsibilities include developing team of direct reports and ensuring their continued growth and development.


Section 1:  Job Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business related function required; MBA preferred.
  • 8-10 years brand management experience successfully guiding strategic marketing, branding, and product management within consumer goods businesses.
  • Exceptional financial acumen required including experience with budgeting and P&L management.  
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.         
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across functional areas of the business enabling the successful achievement of initiatives across all brand categories.
  • Strong execution, leadership and consensus building/decision making skills. 
  •  Ability to travel domestically periodically (25%).

 Section 2:  Judgment and Decision Making: 

This position requires low level of supervision. An ideal candidate would be able to work autonomously to achieve strategic goals.  Additionally, the Director Marketing needs to have a proven track record of providing superb level of supervision and guidance to grow and develop a high performance team.

Develop strategic Promotional Calendar through collaborative effort with category leaders to drive sales and maintain effective brand image and innovation.

Oversee and manage the marketing budget and P&L category.

Represent categories for cross-functional strategic and update meetings to include new product development, print and package, education, brand updates and presentations.

Direct and ensure accurate forecasting of the brand / business.

Develop and mentor managers, including performance reviews of the team.
