Job Summary:

Come and be a part of the exciting and dynamic world of L'Oréal USA as a Human Resources (HR) Intern!  We are currently looking for a 12 month administrative intern to work with our HR team. This extraordinary paid internship opportunity requires a candidate which has graduated with a degree within the last 12 months and is able to work up to 40 hours per week in (enter location).  This internship will provide an opportunity to build a foundational knowledge in HR and learn the beauty industry. The qualified individual will work on challenging projects, learn and be developed by our world class HR team and will gain exposure to our top talent and senior executives. Throughout the internship, the incumbent will also work with multiple HRIS and reporting systems while experiencing hands-on HR generalist tasks.   If you love people, are passionate about beauty and possess an entrepreneurial spirit, this is the role for you!

Job Function:

Provide support to the Operations Americas Human Resources Department

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform special projects as required
  • Conduct analysis and create worksheets and presentations
  • Assist with various annual HR processes including salary planning and talent reviews
  • Create new hire/transfer integration plans and coordinate the transition
  • Maintain and update various HR reports including open positions, management development and more
  • Support HR team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement ideas
  • Assist with maintenance of HRIS database; run reports of employee data on Business Objects
  • Participate in special events

Desirable Training & Expertise:

  • Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a Master’s degree within the last 12 months with no gap more than 5 months in education history
  • Possess a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Prior internship or business experience is preferred
  • Prior experience performing reporting and analysis is preferred
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills along with ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees
  • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Specifically:
    • Intermediate Level Skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis.
    • Intermediate Level Skills in MS Power Point such as inserting charts, graphs & tables, animation & multimedia, customizing slide shows with hyperlinks, drawing & working with objects, speaker notes & meeting notes, and advanced presentation features
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and challenging corporate environment
