Within a dynamic in-house legal department and under the management of the IT Associate General Counsel, you will be supporting L’Oréal IT teams (both at Corporate and Regional level, for the different businesses of the Group) in the legal framing of their projects in accordance with relevant group guidelines and relevant legislations.

 

 

Responsibilities shall include

 

  • Drafting IT commercial contracts for L’Oréal, including outsourcing, SaaS solutions, software licenses, integration, maintenance, purchase, consulting and other IT services agreements
  • Negotiating with leading technology companies and large IT service providers supporting the digital transformation of the L’Oréal Group
  • Advising global and regional IT teams on legal issues
  • Working closely with Procurement teams on innovative IT processes and policies
  • Assisting IT teams in the implementation of asset management procedures
  • Handling, in coordination with the IT, Digital & Data Legal team, the data protection issues related to the IT projects  in compliance with GDPR requirements
  • Delivering training sessions to IT teams and other organization throughout the L’Oréal Group
  • Implementing and updating standard Group contractual documentation
  • Participating in the animation of the Legal intranet website to provide information and tools to the L’Oréal Legal community worldwide and to business teams

 

 

BACKGROUND

 

  • 4/8 year experience in private practice or/and as in-house counsel in the IT industry
  • Master in Law (preferably in Contract and IT law)
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills and ability to develop effective negotiation strategies
  • Significant experience in negotiating complex IT transactions, including large global deals, particularly with outsourcers, cloud providers and data processors (significant experience in supporting sales for an IT vendor is a plus)
  • Detailed knowledge of contract and business law
  • Robust background in privacy and data protection law and an ability to apply that knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way
  • Ability to work, negotiate and draft contracts in English

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to professionally and concisely communicate complex issues
