Research and Innovation teams, whose number has increased eight-fold in 20 years, constantly strive to be at the forefront of scientific advances, working in collaboration with the world's leading experts in each field. The results of their work are subject each year to several hundred patent applications and give rise to thousands of formulas. Research and Innovation is today more than 3,800 researchers in thirty disciplines, from basic research to product development through applied research.

We are looking for an analyst to reinforce our Risk Intelligence activity, whose mission is to prepare for the future by anticipating emerging risks and controversies of pertinence to our R&I activities worldwide.  Part of an international team, you will be connected to operational R&I teams to share insights and support decision-making on subjects of risk for the group.


  • Detect and monitor emerging risks and controversies worldwide, including the risks perceived by society

  • Set up a web and social media listening strategy to capture weak signals on emerging issues and to anticipate challenges for the future

  • Develop a knowledge base and pilot the publication of a monthly internal publication on emerging risks

  • Support decision-making by preparing strategic analyses of emerging topics


  • An advanced degree (minimum Masters level) in science or web listening (dual skills would be a plus)

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in technology watch or web listening, or equivalent

  • Knowledge and experience of foresight/social media listening tools and methodologies

We are looking for someone whose profile reflects an open mind and natural curiosity and the ability to think out of the box.



  • Analytical rigor and capacity to manage and synthesize numerous information sources

  • Ability to detect weak signals on very diverse topics (science, regulations, competitors, societal trends, etc) and to identify relevant and actionable insights for the group

  • Very good written and oral communication skills, ability to write articles on diverse topics, ability to explain complex concepts in non-specialist terms

  • Ability to work effectively with third parties in a global, matrixed organization and collaborate with all levels of the organization and all types of profiles (scientists and non-scientists)

  • Energetic and autonomous, eager to suggest and test new methodologies and ways of working
