More than 490 patents were registered in 2015. Our workforce consists of 3800 employees, representing about sixty nationalities and thirty different scientific backgrounds (chemistry, physics, biology, dermatology, optics, rheology, IT, statistics, analysis, etc.).


The business development department of L’Oreal Research and Innovation Division is responsible for the sourcing, strategy development and securing of strategic business relationships with external scientific and technological partners to help facilitate L’Oreal’s open innovation strategy.

The candidate will work closely with the BD manager in Singapore, internal scientific teams and departments to identify opportunities, develop appropriate business engagement models and to help in negotiating key business terms for external innovation projects in Singapore.

This role will combine a candidate’s ability to aid in the external development of cutting edge technology in the biological, chemical or physical sciences with understanding of intellectual property, business strategy, and corporate finance to create impactful external collaboration projects.

Some understanding of industry dynamics (biotech, medtech, etc), R&D and key public entities and players across China and/or experience in sourcing, evaluating and investing in technology startup companies will be significant added advantages.

We seek a candidate with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a team player with the ability to effectively handle organizational complexity and with strong persuasive verbal and written communication skills. 


BSc/MSc in biological, chemical or physical sciences and/or 
BSc/Msc from top international business program
Fluency in English
