Sub Contract Planning Manager
Based in our Hammersmith head-office, you will be a key member of our fast paced L’Oreal UK & Ireland team. We are looking for a Sub Contract planning manager to join the Shared services department looking after the Consumer and Active Cosmetics divisions. This is an operational role for a high calibre professional to work in close proximity to the marketing and purchasing teams. You will project manage the co-pack activities and add value to the business units by providing packaging, production planning expertise and identifying cost saving initiatives.
•Act as the key point of contact for the divisions for the end to end process; exchange of ideas, costing exercises and promotional planning regarding sub contract activities.
•To provide knowledge and best practice advice to the Marketing and Commercial teams regarding sub contract
activities, ensuring consistency of process across the 2 divisions.
•To offer advice on feasibility for any new subcontract ideas raised by Marketing or Commercial teams
•Create and animate Subcontracting process training for Marketing and Commercial newcomers
•Build and manage a rate card with Purchasing to serve as a reference for future jobs
•Manage the subcontracting workflow on Sharepoint
•Work closely with Purchasing team to identify the best subcontractors to partner with
•To be a key driver during Christmas gifting planning for sets produced in the UK
•Ensure project briefs are executed, on time, in full and to the expected standard of quality. This should be completed in collaboration with counterparts in the warehouse and the supply planning teams
•Identify opportunities for improvements in sub contract category spend that add value in terms of financial, EHS and
service to L’Oréal.
•Lead on cross divisional continuous improvement projects.
•Take the lead in researching and developing new innovative ways of working and utilization of new technologies.

•Experience of a FMCG environment with commercial understanding of procurement & co-packing operations
•Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to deal with senior management to convince and influence effectively
•Entrepreneurial attitude to problem solving and overcoming barriers
•Negotiation skills and ability to work on complex negotiations & manage contracts through their life-cycle
•Self-motivated and good team player
•Advanced excel skills
•Understanding of physical distribution, co-packing management, supply planning and master data is beneficial
•Previous experience in subcontracting is beneficial
•Knowledge and interest in SAP APO is beneficial
