Key responsibilities:

  • Define and implement mid- to long-term Regional Policy and Strategic Plans, with a comprehensive mapping of the key local issues and stakeholders the critical countries in APAC region, in alignment with the Global Regulatory Policy and Issue Management (RPIM) strategy developed at Function Level
  • Set objectives for the issue management activities in APAC region, continue to improve practices and processes, in alignment with the corporate function
  • Identify the weak signals which might become emerging regulatory issues in the APAC region, through close collaboration with country scientific directions and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct impact analysis for company’s portfolio; evaluate the degree of criticality of emerged regulatory issues; analyze the opportunity for giving influence or implementing lobby actions.
  • Define l’Oreal regional regulatory positions on identified issues, by interacting with all internal stakeholders, to ensure the regional positions to be consistent with global position, if it is relevant.
  • Formalize Issue Management Document, with regulatory action plan according to priority level, share the Issue Management Document in time
  • Communicate thoroughly regional position with all internal stakeholders to ensure it is precisely understood
  • Support the global issue manager in defining l’Oreal global position on the identified issue; adapt a specific APAC position whenever needed, taking into account the specificities of the local regulatory context

  • Provide support to the Zone Scientific and Regulatory Affairs in managing local regulatory challenges.

 

 

Competencies:

  • M.S. or Ph.D in scientific domain, e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or Toxicology.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, Quality Assurance in Consumer product, chemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Fluent in English both oral and written, capability in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus
  • Excellent document composing capability.
