We have a suitable opportunity for the position of Senior Manager - Media. This is an individual contributor role where one has to maximize the impact of advertising using all touch points in line with the brands DNA and objectives through innovative campaigns, support launches, stories diffusion, audience targeting, optimizing media investments and planning and ensuring cross-media effectiveness. The candidate should have minimum 8 years of professional experience in media agency or in the media team of a large / mid-sized advertiser (preferably another CPG advertiser). The location of the job will be in Mumbai and candidates from Media Agencies / Advertisers will be given preference. The details of the job are given below:


Job Responsibilities:

Media Planning and Buying

1. Lead all day to day media planning activities internally along with the agency

a. Manage the campaign briefing and plan presentations for both offline and digital
b. Ensure smooth implementation of all plans as per Standard Operating Procedures(SOP’s)                   

2. Help set the planning framework (if there is one), goals and objectives

3. Provide support on Annual strategy to marketing teams / agency and Media Buying Head

4. Lead all non-TV media and mid-sized TV deal closures. For large deals provides input and support to Media Buying Head

 

5. Leads all media Plan At Glance (PAG) management including on Contacts           
a. Liaise between Agency / Control and Marketing teams to ensure all accuracy of reports
 
6. One point contact for the same for L’Oreal Country Management

      

Media Reviews

1. Ensures regular dialogue with brand teams to review strategic proposals / broader
communication planning issues and agree on solutions

2. Lead reviews of all country media strategies, together with Marketing Manager / Marketing Director / Media Buying Head

3. Review competitor media spend analysis as provided by Media Agency to ensure key competitor activity are captured and communicated

4. Highlight media trends in the category and recommend course of action

 

Knowledge Sharing

1. Champions best practice and share case studies with marketing teams. Facilitates and
conducts media basics / contacts for training programs for all new marketing recruits

 

Key Deliverables

1. Ensure media plan quality is on par with industry standards as measured by L’Oreal

2. Ensure 100% compliance with the set media planning and buying Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP’s)

3. Ensure agency Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scores improve by at least 25% over
previous year

Education:

  • Any Post Graduate or MBA in Communication Studies
