As a Sr. Chemist you will be responsible for all operational aspects of Open Development projects in the Hair Color category and assuring alignment with overall business strategies.   


Key Job Accountabilities


  • Lead meetings with support function teams, anticipate/negotiate priorities, and solicit input from Key Stakeholders to keep Integration objectives on track.  
  • Cultivate Vendor Relationships; follow up on projects, on-boarding new suppliers, etc.
  • Understand product technologies and raw material functionality
  • Participate in managing development of Roadmaps/Alignment practices with Vendors
  • Knowledge of Competitors/Product Trends, evaluation of products/defining strengths of the Vendor
  • Knowledge of Global Open Development projects/activity.
  • Regularly Interact with counter parts globally.
  • Travel required (10-15%)


Job Requirements


  • BS degree in science required plus 7+ years’ experience preferably in cosmetics/consumer product industry. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent Project Management Skills (attention to details, ability to anticipate, Mastery of the topic).
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Networking Skills.
  • Participation and Flexibility.
  • Rigor/Entrepreneurship: Assertive, Master the topic on hand and see the Bigger picture.
  • Ideal Candidate will also have some experience in People Management.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US on a long-term basis.
