Sr. Engineer / Manager - Technical Packaging (CAD Designer)


To provide design support to the Packaging and Innovation teams that leads to new products meeting or exceeding all targets including function, cost and product availability


  • Utilize 2D & 3D to produce custom package designs considering:
    • Injection, Bi-injection, Injection Blow and Extrusion Blow Molding processes
    • Mold design & construction and typical lead times
    • Apply tolerance study to validate rob ust design
    • Strong knowledge of plastics material physical and chemical characteristics as well as waste stream
    • Strong understanding of how design impacts costs
    • Good understanding of filling techniques and filling line capability
    • Good understanding of beauty care component design and function
  • Support Packaging teams to launch products that meet consumer needs
  • Provide strong technical support in all phases of design and execution of new product development
  • Travel to suppliers and L’Oreal locations in support of projects
  • Provide design support to a fast pace technical innovation team in support time to market requirements


·         BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

·         5 Years minimum in product design utilizing 2D & 3D CAD

·         Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multi discipline teams with strong communication skills

·         Second language helpful but not required (Spanish, French or Chinese)

·         Proficient in Solid Works, AutoCAD, Mold Flow Analysis

·         Strong written and verbal communications including presentation preparation and delivery

·         Good communication skills, to be able to deal effectively with all levels of the organization and our suppliers.

·         Good organizational skills to manage the documentation, materials and information.
