We are seeking to fill a scientific research position within the photoprotection/sun care team. This role is responsible for the identification, characterization, and demonstration of new technologies for photoprotection into prototype sun care formulas with proven consumer-perceivable benefits. The successful candidate will work in a team-oriented international environment, collaborate with other working groups, and design and implement research proposals toward the completion of research goals.
II. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree with industrial experience or a Ph.D. in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Biophysics. The candidate should have hands-on experience using typical laboratory instrumentation relevant to his or her field of research and be able to present results and conclusions of their research coherently and logically. Experience and knowledge of sun filters, personal care formulations, and in vitro and in vivo methods for measurement of sun protection factor (SPF) are a big plus. The candidate must be proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and experience using Design of Experiments protocols and software or other laboratory software packages such as MATLAB, JMP, or R is a plus. The candidate must be organized with experimental records and related documents, be self-motivated, creative, and passionate about their research. The candidate should be a team player with excellent communication skills, which are necessary to work in an exciting, fast-passed and cross-functional work environment.
