L’Oréal Australia’s Operations includes our Warehouse, Customer Care, Master Data and Supply Chain teams. These teams work in partnership with our Divisions to ensure we continuously improve our supply chain and achieve greater agility and efficiency to meet the needs of our distributor customers. Operations have an important responsibility to focus on uncompromising standards of quality control, employee safety and our environmental commitments.

About the role

In this newly created role you will work within our Consumer Products Division ensuring alignment to budget and strategic plans. You will be a crucial interface between the planning function and other areas of the business, including commercial, marketing, finance and our international businesses.  In addition your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating the supply plans from the validated business forecast, and in line with achieving Customer service and working capital targets
  • Collaborating with the Customer Supply Chain function to ensure clear and timely communication of relevant information to customers and commercial stakeholders
  • Monitoring inventory levels against defined targets, reporting versus those targets and driving action plans for risk mitigation.
  • Key liaison with regional and global supply hubs, evaluating and modelling any risks of supply
  • Working with key internal stakeholders to ensure full transparency of risks that may have an effect on service levels and working capital
  • Managing and preventing excess stock, identifying slow moving and potential obsolete SKUs for the supply portfolio
  • Maintain supply planning parameters and life-cycle management status for effective control and reporting of materials
  • Ensure supply chain plans are in place and executed for each SKU by location in their supply portfolio whilst identifying supply issues, and manage resolution appropriately.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience within a high SKU environment acting in demand and/or supply planning capacity. Possessing the capability to manage complexity in a high pressure environment you will be able to effectively communicate meaningful information to different areas of the business. A considerable analytical skill set will be highly regarded as will a collaborative mind-set. Previous experience within the retail or FMCG environment will be advantageous as will a flexible, results oriented approach.
