The Body Shop International are seeking a Finance Analyst to partner with the International HR function,  supporting the HR Finance Manager in providing relevant and timely financial support, guidance and analysis to global HR community on all aspects relating to headcount and employment costs covering both store and non-store populations.

This role has a specific focus on supporting International HR colleagues and will be instrumental in taking the analysis for global employment costs to the next level, deepening relationships with the global zones and markets and working closely with stakeholders globally to improve the process for reporting, forecasting and modelling headcount and employment costs.

A Day in the Life:

  • You will take responsibility for headcount reporting to Group - L’Oreal - for all The Body Shop International functions, supporting the HR team to ensure accurate and robust data for their respective business areas.  Ensuring that reporting is in line with Group deadlines and norms and that global HR teams remain up-to-date with L’Oreal norms on headcount and employment cost reporting.
  • Supporting HR in the trend and budget process for International functions
  • Working with the HR Finance Manager to prepare reports and presentations for key executive and management committee meetings.
  • Ownership of global headcount bridge, you will collate returns from Zone HR to reconcile global headcount. You will support HR in preparing the headcount bridge for monthly actuals
  • Developing the existing employment cost reporting to enhance understanding of store and non-store employment costs globally, analysing variances in global employment costs and liaising with zone HR teams to challenge and validate results
  • You will undertake ad-hoc financial analysis of employment costs to benchmark both store and non-store spend, developing appropriate KPIs and embedding within monthly reporting.


Do you fit the bill?


  • You will have demonstrable experience of analysis and preparing reports within a finance environment
  • You are experienced in working with non-finance colleagues and supporting and advising them on financial processes, terminology & requirements
  • Your approach is inquisitive, analytical, problem solving with a keen focus on attention to detail
  • If you have experience working in a multinational/multicurrency environment that would be advantageous
  • You will have previous experience of forecasting and trend analysis
  • You are able to present complex analysis in a structured and clear way both verbally, in writing and for formal presentations
  • You have sound knowledge of MS Office 2007, advanced knowledge of Excel essential
  • If you have knowledge of SAP and BW that would be desirable but not essential
