We realise that people are different; that’s why we’ll create an individually tailored management training programme just for you.
Each year we offer up to 30 graduates from all different degree disciplines, the opportunity to join our programme across 5 business areas. The scheme lasts for thirteen months and is made up of two to three placements across a variety of different roles, thereby giving you a unique overview of how different functions and divisions operate. This early exposure will equip you with the breadth of knowledge to ensure you start off with a strong foundation in your career with us.
Real Exposure in IT
IT is a fundamental part of The Body Shop® International, providing IT project and support services to our Global business community. Within your first few weeks you will spend a series of short placements to gain an understanding of the different areas within IT, to understand how they serve the business and interact with each other.
Following this, your next rotation will be within the Core Systems team, working on projects focused around the core retail business. You will likely be owning some analysis work and contributing to both functional design and testing of solutions going into Production internationally across our Company stores.
The next rotation will be spent across our across Infrastructure and Services teams, to give you a detailed understanding of how the IT operation works end to end. You would get exposure to 24 hour Operations, Help Desk, Network management, Server infrastructures and more! The aim here is to provide a foundation of how all the pieces of a corporate IT infrastructure and services function fit together to support a large scale business.
To develop your hunger for innovation, you will be given a short Research & Development (R&D) project whereby you will investigate new technology opportunities, build a prototype solution and present your findings to members of the leadership – real exposure to senior leaders!
Your final rotation will be spent with the Digital team, working on projects around our International E-commerce platform including some exposure to Digital Support Operations, to see how software development lands into the live environment.

To apply, it is essential you have:
- A minimum of 300 UCAS points in 3 subjects (or equivalent international qualification)
- Attained or are in the process of attaining a minimum 2:1 bachelor's level qualification
- Are eligible to work in the UK
- A desire to make things better for our customers, our community trade providers and the planet
Out of our 2015 Graduate intake:
- The majority of our graduates had demonstrated leadership whilst at university
- All had tangible achievements over and above the norm
- Many of them spoke a second language and were keen to have an international career
- All had strong analytical skills
- Many had previous relevant work experience or had completed an internship
- All had managed complex projects whilst at university or at work
- All were curious and enthusiastic, and looked to be challenged on a daily basis
The anticipated date for our Management Trainee assessment centres will be February 2017, however, we will conduct telephone interviews before this date.
