Job Summary

The Vice President of Human Resources for Corporate Operations is responsible for the creation of long-term strategic HR direction and vision to ensure successful policies of attracting, recruiting, developing, training, motivating and engaging people for the Corporate functions. Corporate Operations is made up of several functions, mainly Direct & Indirect Sourcing, Brand Development, Technical and Innovative Packaging as well other smaller functions. In addition the VP partners with Group VP of HR and Corporate Operation Directors to anticipate and optimize the organization’s people needs to align with the overall Operations division business strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Serve as HR Business Partner to Corporate Operations functions in achieving their business goals and objectives

-Partner with HR Directors and Talent Acquisition to facilitate recruitment/staffing of all open positions

-Chair regular meetings to review open positions

-Interview all final candidates for Director level and above

-Lead and manage Talent Review process for respective functions

-Lead and manage the Succession and Workforce plans for respective functions

-Provide Generalist support for respective functions

-Employee development - Oversee employee development strategy and allocation of resources, anticipate organizational business needs, and lead and challenge employee professional growth opportunities

-Identify opportunities and programs to increase engagement and performance for respective functions

-Co-Manage the GROW Program for entry level candidates

-Serve as a resource to the Corporate Operations HR Directors with regards to employee relations and legal/regulatory matters impacting the workforce

Experience

-10+ years of demonstrated success as an HR professional at a global Consumer Goods, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical or Technology businesses with 5 years at a Senior HR Level

-BA/BS degree. Masters level education (MS, MBA) preferred

-Proven ability to build and manage a HR team to consistently deliver and perform

-Experience in corporate-wide initiatives designed to develop and foster a dynamic corporate culture

-Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail with strong planning skills

-Strong relationship building, customer service, communication, presentation. Organization and negotiations skills also required

-Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching and developing talent (across the organization) into a high performing team

-Must have a sense of urgency and service orientation with a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness

-Strategic thinking – In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and trends (i.e. recruitment strategies, people assessment, career development and management, etc.)

-Creative, self-motivated, team player with the ability to build consensus and work well with all personality types

-Strong employee relations knowledge and background

-Legal- Significant understanding of employment laws and statues pertaining to equal opportunity

-Compensation – In- depth understanding of policy and concepts, along with ability to articulate same

-Experience with US practices and requirements

-Proficient in HRIS software, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office

-Willing to travel as needed to implement strategic HR initiatives
