Section 2:             Job Summary

The Integrated Communications Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Marketing will spearhead the design and implementation of the brand’s voice and image among consumers, influencers, retailers and the press. By embracing the YSL spirit for revolutionizing ideas and products, you will create vanguard influencer partnerships, events, programs and campaigns that will inspire and engage our customer audiences while accelerating brand awareness for new and existing customers.


With a heavy emphasis on social media and influencer marketing, the Integrated Communications AVP will nurture and maximize exposure on key social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, PInterest) while uncovering new channels and customers. Immersed in social media and influence trends, you will lead the identification and execution of US influencer partnerships, including storytelling & content creation to maximize reach and engagement. As experiences and events are key driver for YSL’s image, you will develop, lead and execute brand-building mega events to generate maximum buzz and noise among the press and influencers. As a data-driven influencr marketer, you will oversee reporting and metrics to ensure KPIs are established, goals are clear and measured.


In addition to influencer marketing, the Integrated Communciations AVP will leverage editorial and image-related opportunities in print, digital and TV in line with Global PR objectives.  You will also build and lead YSL’s philanthropy strategy and maximize its visibility and impact.

 Section 3:             Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 8+ years of social media marketing, digital consumer products, digital content management or similar experience, with a deep emphasis on beauty PR.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills building trusting partnerships and building a strong communications strategy and network.
  • Ability to effectively structure and articulate presentations to foster learning
  • Strategic thinking, impeccable organizational skills, a talent for process management and relationship building, plus solid creative writing, business writing and proofreading skills are absolutely essential.
  • Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Familiar with executive level reporting and communication. 

Section 4:  Judgment and Decision Making:

Defines & implements brand social media strategies that encompass multiple channels. High-level decision-making skills are required.


Section 5: Essential Physical Requirements

Potential for international travel to Paris for meetings with global marketing team perhaps 1x per year.

FACEBOOK: US management

SNAPCHAT: event takeovers

TWITTER: event takeovers

PINTEREST: need to set up USA page


  • Create briefs for the DMI and plan trend postings on @yslbeauty Instagram
  • Create a calendar for Instagram with DMI
  • Respond to questions/comments

BA POSTING: individual content as well as store facebook pages



  • Create relationships with retailer social leads
  • Negotiate posts including exclusive posts with exclusive content or when there are exclusive products
  • Manage and fill Sephora Beauty Board
  • Manage #trendingatsephora


  • OCTOLY: daily following and management (work with marketing on product choice and brand page creation)
  • INFLUENSTER: work with marketing on launches
  • Scope out new opportunities


  • Create briefs for the DMI and plan trend postings on @yslbeauty Instagram


  • Identify influencers for product pre-launch outreach (w/ PR)
  • Conceive concept for outreach (w/PR)
  • Follow up after launch and measure posts


  • Product launch events: influencer outreach
  • In-Store events: choose influencer, manage social exposure, plan with influencer & store


  • Work with D2C Team to follow corporate direction and vision on social media
  • Analyse and prepare expected social media metrics

  1. Account Database Expert: access, mine, synthesize and translate data. 


  1. Collaborate with marketing to understand the respective calendar and business objectives.  Apply YSL Beauty online data information and create actionable business plans.


  1. Conduct meetings to facilitate the share of Customer Insights and the communication of plans/programs.  Gain buy-in and approvals. 


  1. Partner with YSL marketing lead, YSL ecommerce lead, and corporate Digital Media lead to develop precision marketing programs that drive brand awareness or conversion by the customer


  1. Partner with YSL ecommerce lead, YSL marketing lead, and corporate CRM lead to develop and grow the new YSL loyalty program
