Overview

The Active Cosmetics Division (ACD) is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic digital candidate to join the eBusiness team arm responsible for Amazon and other key accounts in the U.S.

 

The role works with Amazon and liaises with L’Oreal internal teams. This involves leading and creating the business systems needed to fuel strong analytical support and proactive generation of insights for not only Amazon, but all key stakeholders in the eBusiness unit of the Active Cosmetic Division.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in a quantitative field, backed by an experience in working with massive data sets & have interest to develop models for rich data analyses with agility, efficiency and accuracy. Should be scrappy, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, growth, and success of the Amazon business.

 

Overall Responsibilities

Account Management support for CeraVe and AcneFree 

Advanced Analytics

  1. Build repeatable business processes and solutions to support account management reporting at scale
  2. Aggregate data across brands & multiple different reporting systems
  3. Design and conduct statistical analyses of business performance to optimize and drive success
  4. Analyze large and complex media and product related data sets
  5. Craft insights from reporting systems; turn data into a story to provide scheduled updates to respective brand teams & key stakeholders on the status of the business
  6. Support Account Manager to drive business analysis to improve forecasting, inventory, retailer sell-in, sell-through, inventory management, and various relevant key performance metrics
  7. Support Search Manager as needed to execute analysis on Amazon Search tracking and reporting for total Amazon Business
  8. Provide Account Managers results in an actionable way to drive business analysis to improve forecasting, inventory, retailer sell-in, sell-through, inventory management, and various relevant key performance metrics
  9. Develop and update in regular cadence with brands / accounts managers a promotional planning calendar to capture all business drivers / promotional activity and identify issues before they arise
  10. Catalog management for the 3 brands of internal and external tools (Clavis, OneClick Retail, and other systems as needed) and ensure and advise on catalog integrity for all Active Cosmetic Division brands
  11. Competitive analysis

 

The right candidate will have the opportunity to further grow the role into:

  1. Account management
  2. Craft insights from reporting systems; turn data into a story to provide scheduled updates to respective brand teams & key stakeholders on the status of the business
  3. Identify opportunities for growth based on data insights – collaborate with marketing and Amazon team to use data analysis and predictive analytics to identify solutions and white space for business growth
  4. Identify blue sky opportunities to support the strategic needs and day to day of running the Amazon business
 

                                      

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Business, Analytics or quantitative degree
  • 2+ years in an strategy or analytics-focused role, working on projects that have enabled them to build strong quantitative skills and business judgment (e.g., management consulting)
  • Ecommerce experience (experience working with Amazon and SAP are ideal, but not required)
  • Advanced in Excel, data analysis and visual modeling
  • Prior experience with Amazon Premium Analytics a plus
  • Strong understanding of the Digital Media and Beauty Industry
  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint programs.  Ability to create high impact presentations
  • Detail oriented
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly in both oral and written forms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed
